Wonder if it’s the door and wall for the toilet causing issues?

Maybe it thinks it’s a separate 1x2 room and causing it to bug out?

No, it would write the name of the room twice and also show 2 ⚠️ signs

I have had that issue before but the other people are right. We should see two rooms and two warnings if it's doing that.

That shouldn’t be an issue

Make sure you applied holding cell to the entire cell. Sometimes if you’re missing one you can’t tell visually but you’ll see it turn green when you cover it with the room again

My immediate thought too.

On an unrelated note--you put a bed in Solitary?? Does anyone else do that?? I only put a toilet.

Wait... you guys put objects in solitary and don't just make it a dark 1x1 hole?

I legit give them beds, toilets, showers, so that as soon as the solitary is up they aren’t pissed about basic needs, especially if they’re stoics. Makes solitary work well for stoics, because they get taken care of at the absolute minimum and are separated from the gen pop for a while to cool off the prison a bit.

I like having my solitary rooms be 1x1 rooms but outside. The cold makes them calm down faster trust

It's really only good if you don't have stoical inmates. Those who are not suppressed will get really pissed off since they can't fufil their needs

Sometimes I'm generous and give them a toilet

1

u/Automata-Omnia 18h ago

There's no point keeping stoical in solitary anyways

3

u/Cyrus057 5d ago

I've made mine a 1x2 hole, otherwise the door doesn't close

2

u/E1e4n0r5 5d ago

I mean, some of my Solitaries are 1x1 if there's no room 👀

You put toilets in yours????

UPDATE: I've started putting a bed in the cells and things are, indeed, more peaceful 😐

Did you actually build this room with foundations or just concrete floor down?

My guess is that its treating that as an outdoor area with no roof because its not built on foundations.

Perhaps demolish the whole room and rebuild.

Thanks for all the replies! Removed the toilet door but that didn't change anything. Added the entry door to the rooms footprint and that made the room size requirement error disappear but somehow it still insists on that the room isn't enclosed.

Even removing the walls to the toilet doesn't solve it. :(

The "cell" part of holding cell extends into the wall. The floor under the exterior door should not be included in the room, is that the issue?

Maybe try undesignating the room then redesignating after a moment

14

u/graudesch 6d ago

Solved, thank you! Added the tile of the door to try things out and well, removing it solved it. No idea why I had to add and then remove it to solve things, but welp, it worked. Thank you and everyone else for all the replies! Time to get some janitors in.

You didn't add it, it was already there, it shows on the screenshot above

5

u/awfulbarrack-7 6d ago

You can't have the cell door as part of it

The L is telling my you included the door. That's the issue

0

u/Drokann1567 6d ago

Remove the door that leads into the rest of the complex. Close it with a wall. Wait for the error to disappear before building a new door.

2

u/ReasonableSet9650 6d ago

Unzone the door tile, the one on the entrance of the cell. Usually avoid zoning the door tiles.

3

The issue is the door and wall not the toilet, you can’t add additional rooms to the holding cell if it’s inside the 5x5 area

0

u/ReasonableSet9650 6d ago

It wasn't in the 5x5 area, though, the room is 5x7

6

u/possiblylallorona 6d ago

Remove the door from the toilet

6

u/graudesch 6d ago

Hey thanks everyone for all the replies! Removed the door to no avail

6

u/PraiseTalos66012 6d ago

Make sure every tile is properly marked as holding cell. Also make sure the cell door isn't marked as holding cell.

u/ReasonableSet9650 6d ago

Wooden doors in holding cells or even in regular cells cause no issue. I do that all the time. If it was causing issue, you would see 2 ⚠️ signs like in 2 separated rooms.

0

u/roguebagel 6d ago

ew, gross

3

u/IceOagua 6d ago

Issue is the door in the cell. Remove it and it works. No privacy on toilet for prisoners.

That wall is fine. As long as there is somewhere that is the minimum size asked

3

u/fortyfivepointseven 6d ago

Should be possible to build a cubicle toilet and it's always bothered me that you cannot.

3

u/megajimmyfive 6d ago

I believe it's the toilet door

6

u/Mnd3333 6d ago

I'm guessing the toilet door is causing issues somehow?

6

u/mijnbaard 6d ago

Probably the toilet with the door

2

u/Flyrrata 6d ago

Is there a tunnel perhaps? I havent played in a hot minute but I remember that causing issues with the room not being "enclosed"

2

u/RedditvsDiscOwO Dr. Hudson 5d ago

Did you zone the jail door?

2

u/PullMull 6d ago

The toilet counts as separate room here you have to remove the doore

1

u/ReasonableSet9650 6d ago

No, not here otherwise you'd see 2 ⚠️ signs. Cells and holding cells are an exception, they can be split that way without actually cutting the room

1

u/WalnutNode 6d ago

Holding cells are tricky. Usually its a shower or something messing up the borders, but this one looks good to me. Put the toilet out in the open, its a prison, no expectation of privacy.

1

u/civil-ten-eight 6d ago

In prison there are no toilet doors.

1

u/Kulkuljator 6d ago

Your solidarity cells are bigger than my normal cells

1

u/rfrosty_126 6d ago

I’ve noticed if I extended the room to any corners I may have missed this is fixed

1

u/Echidna-Local 5d ago

I'm guessing you marked the square with the jail door.

1

u/No-Giraffe-7972 1d ago

Hey check for tunnels
Had the issue where there was tunnels beneath where I was building and gave the same issue

1

u/GeneralOk3975 6d ago

Remove the door by the toilet. Its seeing it as 2 seperate rooms, so your holding cell isn't equipped with a toilet.

1

u/ReasonableSet9650 6d ago

No it works fine with holding cells, I do that all the time. If it was considering it as two separated room, there would be a ⚠️ sign in each room

1

u/Horapollon 5d ago

The toilet is in a seperate room and the whole entire space needs to be a holding cell. Try using false walls to create the toilet cubicle (or just leave it floating without walls. Both work)
