Chłopstwo vs szlachta, endecja vs sanacja, PZPR vs Solidarność, PiS vs PO, tutaj tak jest od zawsze, a społeczeństwo płaci później za to ogromną cenę.

O Toto. Chłopi przed krusem zawsze w Polsce byli jebani.

Tell me, did you choose who is on a ballot when you went to vote? Or did you simply vote for provided options? Did you protested and rioted for a change in politics? Did you at least learnt and supported those who advocate for a necessary change that you will have to pay with some of your comforts for?

My Sejm ballot had 107 possible candidates, I didn't have an issue finding someone to cast my vote for

That society gravitates towards specific names and positions on the list is its own problem, and some results show that if it desires it will make the #1 spot lose the race

Another bullshit article mentioning decline at the some american rating-agency as reliable economic indicator.

15

u/StorkReturns 20h ago

American rating agency is just reading the data that clearly show a deteriorating fiscal situation. They are not inventing what is not in the data. The situation is still under control and there is no immediate danger but it is getting worse and the political system is dysfunctional in dealing with that.

It's like you have heigh blood pressure and the doctor says that you need to lower that it or you risk a heart attack. And you say that no stupid American doctor should tell  you what to do.

There are plenty of coutries with much higher % of debt and rated better, including Japan rated at A1 and 250% debt. The reasons cited in our drop were increased debt (mostly in PLNs so Poland owes money to... Poland, but who cares), growing debt servicing costs. Both are still relativily lower in Poland compared to other developed countries.

2

u/dengop 17h ago

There are some good points there but you can't bring Japan in here as an example. There's a reason Japan and US have good ratings despite their debt ratio. Like it or not, PLN is not Yen or dollar.

Poland is riding high on the undocumented market economy but it's actually in the same slump as other european nations. If you want to see how Poland will be economically in 5 years just look at Romania.

8

u/chinkalichaczapuri Zachodniopomorskie 19h ago

Romania increased debt in foreign currencies mostly and owes money to other coutries, Poland in PLNs so it's caused by printing and obligations. And guess what happened? Nothing. Poland still developing and demand for polish obligations from NBP is 2,5x higher than supply.

1

u/Tramagust 19h ago

The foreign debts are not the basis of the romanian crisis, they are the effect. Same lack of demand is hitting the Polish foundations.

Bullshit article from bullshit rating agency as opposed to trusted and reliable MMT?xd

3

u/chinkalichaczapuri Zachodniopomorskie 19h ago

Tell people buying polish obligations that they are idiots because some agency from country 8000 kilometeres away lower our rate in their ranking from A2 to A3🤡🤡🤡

u/pugnae 19h ago

Yields have to rise as bonds are more risky. Investors require premium. This is not exactly Tusk fault, as mainly due to Trump shenanigans yields are rising across the world.

But saying that we don't have a problem or that it won't be smaller if our deficit was smaller is ridiculous.

1

u/Infinite_jest_0 18h ago

Do they still model other than US bonds as US + bonus?

1

u/pugnae 18h ago

Well the bonus part can be smaller or bigger, right?

1

u/Infinite_jest_0 13h ago

If they calculate bonus as absolute risk value and just add to US, people may overestimate target premium now that US risk is non-zero

Good point

Who cares about 1T economy if noone can afford a fucking aparment and normal people making around 1k euro a month.

u/Full_Equivalent_6166 11h ago

Eh, nothing new.

Polish economy has always grew in spite of the politicians not because of them.

This article is behind a paywall. Does anybody have the full article? More importantly, what kind of fight is going on between the Prime Minister and the president and why would that even threaten the economy?

The faster the orange demon is gone from the US, the first our right-wing crumbles. Let's cross fingers for the yankees to vote better this time around.

It's either Europe or Poland that ends up like Ukraine. "Nationalists" is just a euphemism for pro-Russian traitors.

2

Says random bloke on Reddit.

Yandex servers up again?

I'll tell you something that might shock you and turn your life upside-down. Not everyone that says something your don't agree with is from Russia.

-1

u/_Xee 18h ago

You're right.

Russian supporters are pretty much everywhere.

3

u/Electrical_Panda_326 18h ago

Are those Russia supporters that you see everywhere in the room with you now?

u/No-Insurance5030 7h ago

Agnieszka Barteczko and Zosia Wanat for Bloomberg News

Poland’s domestic cold war is escalating, posing a self-inflicted threat to Europe’s fastest-growing major economy.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk, 69, and President Karol Nawrocki, emboldened by Donald Trump’s support, have been locked in a bitter standoff since last year’s presidential ballot. A year before a general election, the confrontation has all but gutted the government’s agenda and prompted a rating-agency downgrade as efforts to narrow the budget deficit of more than 7% of GDP broke down. It now threatens to paralyze the central bank.

The conflict between pro-European Union liberals and nationalist conservatives has raged for years, but remained an economic non-factor: Gross domestic product doubled in the past decade to exceed $1 trillion, putting Poland among the 20 biggest global economies. Now, with energy prices soaring, Russia waging its own brand of warfare beyond neighboring Ukraine and the US fighting a global trade war, the crisis at the heart of Polish politics could put this track record in peril.

Love how they mentioned Tusk's age, 69, but not Nawrocki. I guess his age is not such a sexy number.

Nice.

most effective government are those that can't do anything. Study have shown. If both sides can't function then the economy will do great.

1

u/LowCall6566 11h ago

Yes, economically wise we can right now sit, do nothing, and win.

1

u/Ok-Swan-9842 10h ago

Government doesn't run the economy people do they create the jobs and innovations. Poland doing great job and less government the better.

1

u/LowCall6566 10h ago

I meant the government, yes, further interference now can cause more harm than good.

Although socially it's bad that catholic religious doctrine is dictating how people can live their lives.

Pure idiotic economicism
"Nothing is more evident than that modern capitalism is just as subversive as Marxism. The materialistic view of life on which both systems are based is identical; both of their ideals are qualitatively identical, including the premises connected to a world the centre of which is constituted of technology, science, production, "productivity," and "consumption." And as long as we only talk about economic classes, profit, salaries, and production, and as long as we believe that real human progress is determined by a particular system of distribution of wealth and goods, and that, generally speaking, human progress is measured by the degree of wealth or indigence—then we are not even close to what is essential...”
