Hi everyone!
Iβm a tourist, currently traveling in Nepal. Unfortunately, today (October 14), I lost my backpack with almost all my personal belongings and expensive trekking equipment.
We were traveling by jeep from Marpha towards Beni, via Tatopani. My backpack was secured on the roof of the vehicle, but apparently it fell off somewhere along the road.
The driver noticed it was missing about 20 minutes before reaching Beni, when another box fell from the roof. We stopped to pick up the box and discovered that my backpack was gone.
Backpack description:
Osprey Exos 58, dark charcoal (almost black) with orange details. In orange raincover.
Several small colorful flags tied to the upper front part of the backpack (see attached photo).
Inside were a dark grey Sea to Summit sleeping bag, brown Scarpa hiking boots, a bright green Arcβteryx jacket, and other trekking gear and clothing.
The backpack could be anywhere along the road between Marpha and the area near Beni, especially around Kalopani, Ghasa, and Tatopani.
If anyone has seen or found this backpack, or knows someone who might have picked it up, PLEASE contact me via Reddit DM.
I would also be very grateful if locals could share this post in Nepali Facebook or WhatsApp groups, especially in Mustang and Myagdi districts.
This backpack contains almost all my trekking equipment, much of which I purchased specifically for this trip. Losing it is a huge financial and personal loss for me.
Thank you so much for any help! I really hope someone has found it and that I can get it back.
