🇳🇵🙋 Ask a Pokhreli I AM FINALLY COMING TO NEPAL! AND I NEED SOME ADVICE.

• Upvotes

I am a nepali who never been to Nepal, born and brought up in India but it's been my dream to visit it and finally me and my brother coming to nepal. We are planning on first visiting pokhara then Dhronpatan. Is there are things/advice that can ease our trip? As it is our first time I wanted some elite level of advice to save money or to enjoy the trip more.

✈️ Travel & Tourism Need Recommendations

32M planning to visit Nepal with my wife in the first week of December. We’ll be staying in Pokhara for 4 days, after which we’ll head back to Kathmandu.

I really want to visit Muktinath Temple, and since this is a trip with my wife, I’d also love to explore the beautiful places around Pokhara and enjoy some memorable experiences together.

  • Muktinath Temple: What’s the best way to travel from Pokhara? Is it feasible to visit in December, considering the weather and road conditions? Should we hire a private jeep, take a flight to Jomsom, or consider another option?
  • December weather: How cold does it get, especially around Muktinath? What kind of clothing and gear should we carry?
  • Travel and accommodation: What would be a reasonable budget for a couple, including transport, hotels, food, and sightseeing?
  • Local experiences: Any recommendations for beautiful viewpoints, lakeside cafés, sunrise spots, or less-crowded places that we shouldn’t miss?

Since we’ll be returning to Kathmandu afterward, I’d prefer an itinerary that is practical and doesn’t involve too much unnecessary backtracking.

If anyone has visited Muktinath or travelled around Pokhara and Mustang in December, I’d especially appreciate your firsthand experiences and advice.
