This is me. Blue is existing, purple is something I would like to get, and pink is something I'm considering/maybe not.

I'd like to know about people's advice and experiences with helix and industrial piercings, but I'm particularly interested in what you have to say about the nose piercings.

Pain isn't really a concern for me as I tolerate it pretty well, but my nose is very tickly. Also I'd love to hear from people with facial hair regarding piercings around the moustashular area.

I'm so happy to never stretch anything ever again.

Finally added another piercing to my left ear. Now my ears look a bit more balanced, haha. Pretty simple setup, but I like the minimalist look on myself! So happy with it but wish me luck on the healing!

I got an industrial piercing yesterday. The piercer said I have the perfect anatomy but the bar is sitting flat against my ear and I'm not sure if it's because it's swollen cause it was only pierced yesterday.

the piercing is about a week and a half old with an internally threaded titanium barbell, has not been downsized.

for context, this was a pretty brutal piercing process. the first bar my piercer used had a factory mistake so the threads were fucked up on one side, which took her over 30 min of messing with it to realize, and then i had to have a brand new bar put in. i ended with my ear being insanely swollen, red, and in a lot of pain on day of.

i took ibuprofen for a day or two to keep the swelling under control, and have been rinsing twice daily with sterile saline spray followed by rinsing with clean water (and clean hands of course).

the pain isn’t too bad, but i’m really worried about how swollen it is and the pus coming from it — i’ve obviously healed several cartilage piercings before and know some goop is normal, but i’m not sure if this is more yellow and more of it than usual and i’ve definitely never had swelling this bad. was wondering if it might be infected, or if it’s probably just significant swelling from the added trauma of my messed up piercing process?

(ps i know right now the bar is touching the flat of my ear, i swear when it’s not swollen i have clearance there 😭)

Wanted that piercing for almost 10 years now. But it never came. But now with my face tats I figured it’s finally time and I LOVE how I look with it. I‘ll probably go a size bigger when it’s healed, depends how I look with it. But I’m happy either way ✨

I got this rook at the end of September 2025, at the same time as my flat here, and it’s still not healed. I believe the piercing is a curved barbell made of implant grade titanium, and the bar has not been downsized or changed at all since it was pierced. The irritation bump waxes and wanes. I clean it 1-2x per day with fine spray saline mist, let water rinse over it in the shower, and occasionally clean out crusties with Q tips. I avoid sleeping on it but I don’t own a piercing pillow so I usually put claw clips on the same side of my head so I don’t roll onto it. However, I still occasionally sleep on it or bump it. Any care tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have always been insecure of my ear shape, so i always avoided piercings. It is a bit prominent and pointy at top, looks kinda weird. I want to know what piercings will compliment my ear shape. I dont want to hide or emphasise anything, just what would fit me the best. Thanks in advance

Heyy I'm contemplating adding a new piercing on my ears and I really fell in love with the tragus and the rook. I will end up getting both I think but I just really really want to hear your experiences with these piercings!

I particularly heard issues with the healing from these two? That the tragus was sometimes easier ect ect

I’ve been wanting to get some new piercings for some time now but aren’t really sure what would work nicely with my other piercings. Was thinking of keeping most piercings on my left ear in the lower half of my ear and having more overall on my right ear.

over a year ago i had my eyebrow pierced and around 4 months later it ripped out because it got caught (plus was probably rejecting.) could i get it repierced in the same spot?

Obviously experiences will vary, but curious to hear what others who have one or both have to say with regards to the positives, the negatives, healing experiences etc etc.

Unsure if embedding or just swelling

I got this done yesterday (Oct 15), it’s a labret. I just went with the recommended jewellery by the piercer with a longer bar. It’s my first facial piercing after only having my lobes done so I’m a bit paranoid.

I have cleaned it twice, once last night and once this morning, with the Neilmed saline spray and used my normal Colgate alcohol free mouthwash when brushing my teeth. I have also taken Ibuprofen today just before posting this.

I’m not sure if I’m overreacting or if i’m just meant to wait it out or something but I’m worried about it embedding :( I can get back to the studio tomorrow if the jewellery needs to be longer?

I had my piercings done 8 to 9 weeks ago, and it was both lobes.

I have what I believe to be titanium earlobe studs (I bought the piercings from a professional piercer) in but I have heard that piercings have to be taken out for MRIs, even if they’re titanium.

However, it is a lower body MRI so would it be okay? Or should I find MRI safe piercings? I’ve been told that even though they’re past the 6 week healing stage my holes will still close up.

I got my septum pierced after wearing a fake one for years. Now, I already know that the placement isn’t perfect and it should have been closer to the tip. Is it so far off that I should have it redone? Or does it look okay enough to keep it?

Mostly love this piercing so much. I’m wondering about general thoughts on placement. Does it look okay? I can get a little OCD - gonna withhold my thoughts so as to not bias you. Might switch to a ring in the future might not. Thanks in advance 💛

As the title says, I just got it pierced today and I’m not sure if it looks off.

Hi everyone! I’ve had my anti-tragus piercing for almost 3 years now. At first, it was healing amazingly—after 6 months, I was able to downsize to a shorter bar and everything was going great, until it suddenly wasn't.

At one point, I accidentally slept on it and woke up with a swollen ear, and ever since that moment, it’s been an absolute struggle. I’ve tried everything, but I constantly have irritation bumps on both sides. Sometimes they get pretty angry, juicy, and bleed (mostly because I occasionally catch myself rolling onto that side in my sleep).

I'm finally at my wit's end and ready to take it out. I'm planning to visit my piercer first to get her opinion, but before I do, I wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience:

1. Did you take out an angry, bump-filled piercing, and how did it go? Did the bumps shrink/disappear quickly once the jewelry was out?

2. How long did it take for the hole to fully close and heal up after removal?

I'm planning to replace it with a different piercing in that ear eventually, but right now I just want to say goodbye to this stubborn little troublemaker so I can finally wear in-ear earbuds again. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories!

Hello everyone! I got my nostril pierced about 2 months ago and for the first month or so had zero issues with it. It has a L shaped bar, didn’t swell much at all, and I am really good about not catching it on stuff though I do think my glasses slipping down gently touches it every once in a while. I’ve been using the neilmed piercing aftercare twice daily and making sure it’s dry afterwards. About a month ago I messed with it too much because it had a lot of boogers on the inside stuck to the L part because I was getting over a cold, and I had an irritation bump/pustule thing show up the next day and progressively get bigger. It looks like an actual pimple and then I guess pops on its own and goes down? I’m not popping it or messing with it at all. I’ve been leaving it alone just cleaning once a day now to avoid touching it even more, but added a warm compress at night too. It went away completely and looked gorgeous, but about a week later came back and it took me a week to get it to go away again. I had it evaluated by an APP piercer (not who did the original piercing, I got it while on vacation) and she said the length is good and I don’t need to downsize. Did the same thing, and it went away again and now I’m back with another about a week later. I am a side sleeper but I’m sleeping on a piercing pillow anyway for a conch piercing so I’m at the edge of the pillow and my nose doesn’t touch. Anything else I need to try? Maybe different jewelry?
