Wonder if the motorcade will inspect it again when it's done. Contractor's infinite money glitch
•
•
u/Clueless_Nomad 2h ago
I mean, I'm with everyone in this thread and all, but this is under warranty according to both the government and the contractor. Still a corrupt assignment in the first place, of course.

That middle pole on the left of the pool is where multiple national guard members chased me down because I was walking by the giant fence blocking the way, asking how I got there and where I was going (the African American Museum to the left of the Washington Monument) and then instructed me to walk down to the Lincoln Memorial and walk the pathway on the far right to get there. I told them no and just waked through the grass and trees towards the war memorial.
Pretty dumb and ridiculous all around.

Trump is such a fucking failure. He has pulled this once great country down to his level of stupidity
•
u/Tattered_Reason 2h ago
A truly great country would never have allowed a repulsive con man with serious mental health issues anywhere near a position of power.
•
u/grooveunite 2h ago
The simple fact that he was allowed to run again is damning. More than a third of this country is cancer.

The place is empty.
•
•
u/HippyHunter7 4h ago
Trump put a giant fence around it to prevent us from seeing his motorcade skidmarks.
•
u/ddrober2003 4h ago
But alas when I saw him bend over I saw his underwear's skidmarks.

He's diapered. They're called "blowouts". He probably gets them all the time.

Now that the temperature is lower, perhaps the green algae won't proliferate as quickly.

The hubris of the man. Why did he think he was smarter than everyone else who tried to fix this?
•
u/CCLF 4h ago
Because he's extremely mentally ill, and probably whatever stimulants they have him on to stave off slowly advancing dementia and keep him awake throughout the day just exacerbates his narcissistic personality disorder and grandiosity.
•
u/ItchyGoiter 3h ago
And nobody ever tells him no. Except probably all the kids and women he raped
Also his uncle taught at MIT

•
u/ToadlyAwes0me 2h ago
He flat out said the only mistake he made during his first presidency was not having loyal people around him. He doesn't want to be challenged, he wants zealous sycophants.

Because nobody knows reflection pools better than him etc etc god he’s insufferable
•
u/redditismylawyer 3h ago
Fill it in. Get rid of it all. Whatever the fuck it used to signify is gone, and apparently we have to fight against billionaires and trillionaires just to get part of it back. And even then in its next version it will be covered in corporate brand smear and they’ll charge us admission.
•
u/ratbastid 4h ago
Nobody working on it, half full of swamp water....
Trump's done his damage and has moved on. It'll be all of us soon enough.
•
u/thelucky10079 2h ago
hasnt it been months now? are they even working on it anymore?
•
•
u/roostzilla 1h ago
They will let it sit for a few more weeks then blame the contractor for not finishing even though they have not paid their part of the deal.
•
•
u/ProbRePost 4h ago
Gotta love that they fraudulently awarded an overpriced contract to Trumps buddy, who in turn messed it up, and then these goons just cover it because they know they are failures and cant be bothered to fix their mistakes

I saw a Tom Hanks movie and the director filled the thing with water. It was crazy. The girl hand to run through water. I knew it was faked for the film.

Truly reflecting of how one man has changed the beautiful soul of America to that of hate and corruption.

Kinda looks like a set of giant tire marks. Just like the ones he left by driving across it.

Is the long strip a pool? Where's this
•
u/Lobotomized_Dolphin 4h ago
The strip is the covering being removed to expose the pool. It's a body of water in the center of the capital city of the US. It's been a symbolic part of our nation's history for a while now, lots of popular media and movies referencing it, and it's been a stinky mess for all of the same history because it's not an actual pool, it's just some water we poured into a cement basin in a really humid and hot part of the country where conditions for algae and decay abound. Place has been full of green goo and kindy icky for a long time but Trump was gonna fix all of that, except he made it worse and had to blame random Olympic athletes. The evidence didn't support those claims so he had to put some more work in. Maybe now it's fixed and doesn't leak so much. It's mid October now so who knows, it's not hot and humid anymore, if the shit doesn't leak I guess that's a win but we won't know about the algae until next June.
•
u/LackingUtility 3h ago
It's been a symbolic part of our nation's history for a while now
Since 1923. 103 years as a monument, 103 days for Trump to destroy it.

Watch this is just an excuse to destroy it and build some steaming shit pile

It’s pretty poetic. There’s nothing there anymore.
Did I say poetic..? I meant pathetic.

I love that the regime is destroying the capital. Its what they and support staff enabling the regime in the city deserve.
A fitting last chapter of a wretched empire.
Its exactly like the botched lethal injection execution in TN, the idea was trash from the start. Just like the Founders declaring independence over taxes (on slaves).
That is America.

It's reflecting the USA perfectly: absolute shit show.
