Did okay this year capturing hummingbirds with the pentax HD DA 55-300mm and K-3 ii. Wings show slight motion blur at 1/1250. No flash.

I started out on an ME-Super, then I bought a KS-2 for a fun digital, but after acquiring a 6x7, they both seem to sit on a shelf. Big mirror go brrrr, big negative makes me happy, and big camera makes me feel small in comparison.

Pentax K3 mkIII Monochrome
After using my old Pentax lenses on a full-frame Nikon Z and realizing how well that actually works, while still preferring the Pentax UI... it got me thinking: Pentax has kind of painted themselves into a corner / catch-22 with mirrorless. there's no money to build out a lineup of mirrorless lenses, but at the same time there's no point building a mirrorless body if there are no lenses for it.
(Yes, I know it's a long shot given what Pentax has been saying lately...)
I think the ultimate move would be:
Curious what you all think?

A few weeks ago I got my Super-A and it's been with me almost every time I go out. Shot a few rolls through it using the Pentax A 50mm f1. 4. Here's a few photos I took with Fuji 400.

All shot with K5 and SOOC. I have RAW files as well, but just wanted to share these and see what people thought.

I have the chance to buy the Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 for €150. What do you think about it, or do you have any experience with this lens?

Just a quick background/disclaimer: major Pentax fan here, and I use / have been used the full Pentax range, and love the majority of their APSC range that they've made over the years.
This might be a controversial opinion in the Pentax subreddit, and I'm saying this as a Pentax loyalist, but the Sony a900 is my favorite full frame camera above the K-1, and I enjoy using it with my Takumar lenses. It feels like it would have slotted in perfectly with the Pentax lineup in the late 2000s if Pentax were doing full frame back then. Sony used to have a terrible reputation for color science in its early days of mirrorless, but the a900 seems to have inherited more Konica Minolta DNA. I can shoot jpeg with this camera all day and it delivers.
Would love to know if any other Pentaxians have used the a900.

Just straight raw conversion except for the fungus where I masked out the fungus a bit for sharpening and a bit lower exposure.

At the time this was not a cheap compact. It was the first WR camera after the Pentax LX (which also had some sealing, I don't know if the LX was also really WR).
Sample shots with Agfa APX 100 Professional, developed in D-76 1:1. In hindsight the 100 ISO film was a tad too slow for the light levels I tried it in. I will use ISO 400 next time.
