Edit: before you say that information is treated differently than matter, this theory could be an explanation as to why this is the case to begin with. Also sorry for the fortress of text
So, major spoiler ahead, but only for the base game
I've always wondered why on our last loop where we enter the eye, how we can allow the loop to end, yet the fabric of space time never collapses.
I'm pretty sure the irl answer is that the creators never considered it, but I think there's a genuine in universe answer as to why.
We know that when the hatchling enters the time portal in the ash twin at the end of the loop, they have to continue doing so for every loop, or else causality breaks and the fabric of spacetime shatters. So why doesn't the information from the probe of former loops act the same? Why does the universe allow the loop to end?
My hypothesis is that the Nomai knew they would run into this issue, and if they went forward with the ash twin project without being careful, the universe would never allow them to end the loop. I think they found a solution to this. They would have to figure out how to separate the information of the coordinates of the eye of the universe from the causality of it being found in a former loop. It would have to be a system that, in theory, already had the coordinates before the time loop even started.
While there may be multiple ways to do this, the only one I can think of is some equivalent to the library of Babel. If you don't know what it is, the library of Babel is the concept of a library with randomly generated text, where every possible combination of characters on a page already exists. This means the library already contains every piece of knowledge there could be. Every story that could be told. The problem is that it would have an infinitely greater amount of lies, and an even greater amount of undecipherable nonsense. You can check it out on this website. https://libraryofbabel.info/
I think that the Nomai had their own equivalent hooked up to the ash twin project, and the way they might've stored the coordinates of the eye would be the page that contains the coordinates in such a library. In theory, with a randomized number, they could've been given that page without a time loop, however unlikely.
It would then follow that any page number sent back in time would have to be disguised as a randomly generated number, or else there would be a path of causality. This would not only be true of the coordinates, but also our memories of the former loops as well.
All this to say, I think that the ash twin project was never intended by the Nomai to be a true time loop, but instead to be more akin to a quantum computer that collapses a superposition to find a solution for a problem it was tasked with, and that they simply had to set up the possibility of a time loop to give the "computer" the conditions it needed to collapse the superposition.
Otherwise, if all the loops where the probe fired really happened, and we used the coordinates to get to the eye, then waited 22 minutes, the fabric of spacetime would've collapse, just like how it does if the hatchling enters the time portal.
