Hi everyone I'm starting my journey as an osu content creator, and I just uploaded my very first video.i'm still new to this, but I'd really appreciate some support and feedback from the community. It would motivate me a lot to keep creating more content and improving along the way.thank you all for your time and support ❤️
While I’ve been trying to get my first 100pp play I’ve realised that my aim consistency is the one thing holding me back from setting scores, I feel like my tapping and reading are fine im comfortable with ar9 and on maps that are more suitable for me I can get 96-97 acc but unless I’ve already been playing for like an hour and a half or im just having a goated session I just shit miss so much, I know my raw aim isn’t the issue because I’ve strung together some very difficult jump sections atleast for me but then I proceed to miss on smth really easy, I am on mouse if that affects anything, but I just can’t tell if it’s an issue with my mouse grip or just my focus, I do have quite a few S ranks with my hardest being 3.95 stars but maybe I need to try get S ranks on harder stuff to build aim consistency, I would rather not play easier stuff for S ranks atleast not below 3.8-3.9 stars because I would get bored too easily and then defo not keep focus, any help is much appreciated
so recently i've been learning about World of Warcraft (yeah somehow i've never played it before lol) and raids are a huge part of that game. it got me thinking about whether such a collective experience can be achieved in osu! at the moment, because it seems that individual competition seems to be the gold standard in the community (e.g. the default pp ranking system, and now the new Ranked Play mode in lazer). even in team matches (OWC, Corsace...), it's essentially the combination of 4 players' individual performance on the entire map that determines a win or loss.
i previously suggested an upgrade to the co-op feature and i think it would be a great opportunity to design a gameplay experience similar to a WoW raid. basically, players would swap turns on a specific point in the map (a "swap trigger", essentially a bookmark) instead of every new combo - this way, greater flexibility can be achieved by the mapper in designing the gameplay experience for co-op.
thus, a 20 minute "raid boss" map could be made that demands various different skills throughout the map (e.g. deathstreams, high BPM alt, aim/finger control, etc.). players could then organize into "guilds" (spontaneously via matchmaking, or semi-professionally via dedicated teams) and plan their strategy to pass the map together.
maybe i'm not engaged in the community enough, but i can't think of an example in osu! comparable to what i'm describing here. yes, mappers frequently collaborate on making maps, and players collaborate on 100% ranked completion or achievement hunting, but the "raid experience" from a player's perspective is absent.
i think it's a good idea because it adds a dimension to the game at no cost/sacrifice to the other dimensions of osu! (some which i already mentioned). but what do you guys think?
I recently switched to the wacom 472 and enjoy the lack of smoothing compared to my gaomon s620, I used to drag on a mousepad but it did hold back my aim alot but without it it feels so slick I cant control my aim at all, I got felt nibs but they hardly make a difference if any at all, i would buy a tablet cover but I dont wanna spend 44 bucks just to maybe see a difference. Anything I could do to get more control in my aim without just learning it. I hate the way it feels and id enjoy the way it felt if it had a bit more friction. Any help is appreciated
A bit of a doomer post but I just want to see what people think,
As far as I remember I've always farmed by pushing high accuracy scores on maps that I can comfortably fc. I'm just wondering if that mindset is slowing my improvement down a fair bit.
I basically only ever skillpush for passes or scores that I personally think are good, not for the pp system. Should I keep just playing how I normally do or should I really focus on DT maps outside of my comfort zone?

I know there's like a 99% chance that it isn't possible to find all the vods for past OWCs, but if there is a place where I can watch please let me know cus I'm desperate
I wanna switch cause at the long it will feet me better, cause when I have to spam my finger just don’t click that fast, but when I switch to keys it doesn’t fell the same, like a miss more I don’t feel the circles, are there any advice?
I got this keyboard from Shenzhen as a gift and I feel kinda scammed because of the ghost chattering/getting "rapid triggered" that happens I think no matter my trigger settings but I think it's likely my own skill issue. But I do know I have never heard of this keyboard brand.
To elaborate, I will be playing perfectly fine, tapping extremely lightly and releasing all the way and I will still miss when the 2nd note is stacked on top of the first.
Furthermore, when I play streams, I KNOW I am tapping on beat because my tapping is very perfectly synchronised with the drummer and then randomly I will see hits in the yellow/green regions when my tapping is straight in the blue. It's very frustrating.
I'm very lost on what I should actually set these settings to or if my keyboard itself is a lost cause.
Recently, I noticed I was having a lot of input lag while playing osu! I could not figure out what the issue was for a very long time, until I tried OpenGL on osu!lazer. It told me that it could not run the game in Fullscreen Exclusive mode (FSE) and to expect input lag. This made me realize that an old bug that was "fixed" about a year ago, has snuck its way back into the latest version. What happens is, when you launch the game, it will boot into FSE just fine. But as soon as you alt tab, it will revert to Independent Flip, rather than legacy flip, which is FSE. This has been talked about on this forum before, but they all recommend version 22.5.2, which has issues with the screen flickering when you try to tab back into the game. The fix for this is to download the AMD OpenGL DLL from version 24.5.1.
This is for windows only.
Here is how to do it:
Step 1 - Create a folder in your documents folder, or anywhere you see fit. Make it something without spaces I have it as "Fix" and do not put it in your osu! folder, it will be removed automatically.
Step 2 - Download the AMD OpenGL DLL from version 24.5.1here is a google drive link.
Step 3 - Press Win+R on your keyboard, and type regedit. Press enter and accept the UAC prompt. Navigate to "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000" And look for a string called "OpenGLVendorNameWoW" Right click it, press modify, and delete the current entry and replace it with:
C:\yourpath\atioglxx.dll C:\yourpath\atioglxx.dll
Make sure there is two lines. It should look like this:
Press "OK" if you get an error about empty strings, it is safe to ignore.
Reboot your PC, right click your osu! shortcut, press properties and navigate to Compatibility. Tick the box that says "Disable fullscren optimizations" and click apply, then ok.
To verify it, download PresentMon and run it as admin. After that, launch osu! and play a map for 5 seconds, tab out, then tab back in, play again for 5 seconds, then close osu! and close presentmon. Wherever you downloaded presentmon to, there will be a .csv file called something like "PresentMon-2026-10-04T080931.csv". Open it and if it says "osu!.exe,8240,0x20229340,D3D9,0,0,1,Hardware: Legacy Flip," Scroll down and see if anywhere in the file it says "osu!.exe,8240,0x20229340,D3D9,0,0,1,Hardware: Independent Flip". If it does, you did it wrong. If it doesnt, then FSE should be working perfectly for osu!
If you use gamma manager, this will break it. here is how to fix it.
Download Gamma Panel, the filename should be "gapa.exe" Open it, and set the gamma to whatever settings you prefer. Choose a hotkey, note that this hotkey will no longer work in game, so set it to something that is not an alphabet key. I have mine on "]" After that, press "Save as" and name it whatever. Then tab into osu! and press your hotkey. This will revert when you tab out, but you can just press your hotkey to fix it.
I have a few questions about this game: why is it that, for some songs, my score ends up lower when I hit a "high" note compared to when I hit a "low" note? Also, what do the numbers 50 and 100 mean when I click on a note? Does 50 appear because I clicked too quickly—or too early—on the note? And does 100 mean I hit it at the perfect time, or is it because I clicked too late?
My ar is so shit on streams or multi burst maps i hit to slow or to fast how can i fix it i dont want to play super slow maps my adhd hates it lol but this profile i was always using a tablet with heaps of smoothing before i got a new one yesterday night with no smoothing https://osu.ppy.sh/users/38760277
Been working on getting my own private server from bancho.py to my own typescript implementation. This way, i have both Lazer and Stable working on the same server, same leaderboards, etc. The user list, spectating, and submitting scores work for the server at the moment! Below (or above) is a video of the lazer to stable spectating system I made for my private server.
