These are not old or wearing off, they’re currently removing the other side of the street’s symbol as well while I type this….but why? Did the laws change for bikes, is this more removals due to the crosswalk laws? I can’t find anything on google.

Just like the title says, looking for recommendations. Girlfriend and I are planning on moving back to Orlando from Miami in the next few months. Most apartment complexes down here in Miami have garages with the gym/pool and all amenities in the same building and we absolutely love that. Most places we've looked at in the Orlando area have multiple buildings which usually involves a walk to the clubhouse for the amenities. Price range we're looking for is below $2,500 for a 2 bedroom. I work at the airport so preferably no more than a 20 minute drive from there (without traffic). The places that I have found that meet those criteria are around downtown which is fine but any specific buildings that you guys recommend?

Orlando people in their late 20s to mid 30s.. what are we doing for Halloween that does not involve going to the parks?
In previous years I would have gone to Mathers but downtown is looking scary. Any recommendations will be appreciated!

For whatever reason, the city has trucks driving around East Orlando spraying neighborhoods right now. (Dean and Curry Ford area)
I just got back from walking my dogs and we saw the truck spraying from our kitchen window. There are a TON of people taking advantage of the nice weather and walking around right now, many with dogs…and they all just got dosed with this spray.
Why the hell are they spraying at this time of day and not later at night? This doesn’t seem normal as I remember these trucks coming much later at night during prior summers.
Is this insane to anyone else or am I overreacting?

Hey everyone,
I have a meal prep business in Apopka and I'm looking for a reliable delivery service for recurring runs to restaurants and other businesses around Orlando.
I'm not looking for Uber, DoorDash, or other big gig apps. I'd rather work with a company that can handle multiple stops on a route and transport food properly.
If you've used a local courier service you'd recommend (or one to avoid), I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

What are you guys paying to get your dogs teeth cleaned? My vet is quoting $1775 which seems WAY too high.

I tried to catch her but she ran from me. She’s a petite light yellow lab/hound mix (maybe 45 pounds). She has had puppies, I don’t know how recent (I don’t believe fairly recent but it was hard to judge her nipples). I feel so awful, I called the state troopers and they tried to catch her but she ran back into those woods. I live in Daytona so I can’t sit around trying to catch her but if anyone else is able to… please!!!!
Like barely after that little overpass turny bridge, there are houses back in the area but I don’t think she belongs to them judging by how skinny and nervous she was.
Sorry mods if this is the wrong flair idk what you’d call it.

Still crazy to see $90 for a 700ml bottle (too much for my wallet sadly), but if you really want to make a Last Word at home, figured I'd put it out there!

Bale is running for congress in district 7.
Republican and former US Senator Mel Martinez has endorsed Democrat Bale Dalton ahead of Ryan Elijah.

Hey Orlando fam, I'm a local but I also attend edc every year. I see a lot of discussion happening in the EDCO subreddit around what to expect, especially from people attending for the first time or traveling in from out of town.
I was wondering, what do you want those people to know? Any good recommendations? Anything they should avoid? Anything they need to consider to be respectful of our local customs? (E.g. don't swim in ANY lake for any reason lol)

Last night leaving the Waterford Lakes Town Center at about 12AM I was making a left at that light going about 15-20mph. Ended up being a very deep pothole that decided to eat my tire. Even my friend ran it over too, luckily he was spared by the jaws of the pothole. Its pretty low visibility at night so beware. I will be making a complaint to the management and Orange County.
Btw it seems that pothole has been there since March 2026 and they still have not fixed it. Had it been someone on a motorcycle it could possibly be a bad injury or fatal.

UPDATE: The October 15 shift is filled. We've found someone. Thank you to everyone who applied or reached out!
We may contact people who have already applied or contacted us about occasional future box-assembly work. No future shifts or ongoing work are guaranteed, and there's no need to resend your application.
For reference, this was a one-day gig assembling empty cardboard boxes at $18/hour, with no lifting, in the Edgewater Drive area of Orlando.

I'm looking for a advice on where I can get quick phlebotomy training. Basically, I don't need the full course length due to previous education and healthcare experience--I just need the actual hands on training in order to take an exam.
I've seen one place that fit the bill, but given the issue of health care scam schools in this area I want to be sure I'm not wasting my money: The EKG & Phlebotomy Academy claims to have a short curriculum approved by AMT. If anyone has experience with them let me know.
If anyone has recommendations on what to do or places to go, that would be great. I'm not interested in going to any of the technical schools because that takes too long for the reason I'm getting the certification, plus it's extra money for things I already know (I'm aware some places allow testing out of health care basics).
Before anyone asks, the intent is to get it to be qualified for lab assistant positions so that I can work while preparing to attend medical school in 2028. I don't need a long course, as this is just one option of many I am exploring. I also have a CNA license.

The county is giving me a hard time with my driveway, I laid pavers without getting a permit. Can anyone help? Obviously not looking for anything free.
Thanks.
Hi everyone!
We'll be visiting Orlando from the UK and staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort. We're looking for recommendations for places that can deliver breakfast by around 6:30am, before we head to the parks.
This may be our only opportunity to visit Orlando (or even the US!), so we'd love to hear recommendations from locals on places worth trying, whether they're national chains or local favourites.
So far, we've got McDonald's, Bojangles and Waffle House on our list.
We've also considered Perkins, IHOP, Denny's, Dunkin' and Wawa, but have heard mixed opinions on these, so we'd be interested to know which ones are actually worth trying.
We're not necessarily looking for anything fancy, just good breakfast food that's worth trying while we're there. We'd especially love to experience some classic American breakfast options that we wouldn't typically find back home in the UK.
We realise 6:30am is quite early for delivery, but we'd really appreciate any recommendations, particularly from anyone familiar with the Disney resort area. Any tips on getting food delivered to Disney hotels would also be welcome!
Thanks in advance!
