I keep seeing lists posted on here with folks asking for critique and help. A simple mistake si keep seeing is a Painboy attached to a unit of 10 Boyz.

This is a mistake.

The Painboy heals wounds in your command phase, which means you need to survive your opponents turn to gain value from his ability. Simply put, a unit of 10 Boyz is not going to be able to survive in this way.

These same lists often have a unit of 20 Boyz as well, or sometimes a unit of 3w elites like Nobz or Flash Gitz. Either of these are better places to put the Painboy, for the critical mass of wounds.

Brought him for the first time yesterday, finished up the model today! Couldn't be happier with my big orky buddy!!

I was looking through the app trying to build my army and when I went to the Warboss option I noticed that the Attack Squig option was missing. Did they remove them in one of the latest updates?

My first plane also first flame paint job. Based on a zero fighter plane kit. Thoroughly enjoyed this one, still need the correct base. Well how did I do??!?!?

So I plan on running the meganobz with nazdreg. He already gives IGNORES COVER so is there a point to having the MEK? I know the mek can heal his unit but is that worth it?

I think I have a penchant for purchasing proppa orky goodness.

Bought myself these for my 50th go round.

I'm Fairly new to the hobby, and loved painting the squighog boyz in the ork combat patrol, and ever since then my goal has been to have an army with as many squigs as I phisically can fit there.

AoS has some of the coolest squigs, and I was wondering wether they would be acceptable proxys in casual play.

i'm talking Mangler Squigs as either Ghaz or a beastboss on squigosaur, squig hoppers as a main battleline (either as boyz or beast snaggas), the whole shebang.

what do you all think?

Was mostly inspired by The Cult of Crafting's video "Making Ork Terrain Like It's 1994" that introduced me to the older style of ork terrain.

Started with this 3D-printed building as a base: https://cults3d.com/:55692 and gave it some extra orky bits like the scratch-built wooden gunner platform and a power transformer on the roof then gave it some nice bright markings in the style of the 2nd Ed. ork town and a whole bunch of hand painted glyphs.

I wasn't around for 2nd Edition, but I really like the older "adobe style" ork buildings. I feel like it gives a sense of orks having a bit more of a proper civilization and gives them a little more depth setting up permanent towns and whatnot compared to the newer post apocalypse looking scrap-metal stuff.

Hope I was able to capture a bit of that with this build!

Hey all. Picked up the Armageddon box and sold off the Blood Angels side. Looking to start an Ork army as I mainly play Necrons. I have no idea what theme I want other than I know I Ghazgull.

I like the Mek side of things Im thinking. But what are some good units I should definitely include? I know rule of cool exists but I also want to get some good units. Im thinking pirate/mad max themed but I dont know yet.

Am I interpreting it the right way that these are 3 weapons, so that means that if I get +1 A with the Dread Mob rule I will effectively get 3 A overall?

My buddy and I have been going to a local hobby store on a set day throughout the past few weeks to paint and hang out and I've been painting orks for the first time (he's painted and played them in the past) and we're just having a good time.

I'm completely in love with how much freedom there is of the faction. Having come from painting templars, Imperial fists (30k models) and necrons. Not to mention the lore and some of the rules, especially the older ones are hilarious.

I'm very eager to be involved with Orktober.

Finally got to finish this model that has been sitting half-painted on my desk for almost two years. Happy with how it turned out. Hopefully I can use this momentum to finish the remaining commandoz 😄

Are they mega?? They seem kinda small compared to their new Armageddon brothers but they look like they can pack a punch and take a few too.

My first time using cork on bases and spending my time basing properly rather than PVA and flock.

Did I do them justice??
