Steel Panther wouldn't have done any better...

I Made a Thing Omarchy-Mac Is Running on the M4 MacBook Air 15-inch

Sorry to everyone who reacted to my earlier post!

I realized I’d gotten the title wrong, so I deleted it and reposted the corrected version.

Based on StudioXRadio’s work, I tried installing Omarchy-Mac on a M4 MacBook Air 15-inch — and it works.

A lot is already functional, including the GUI, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

Audio still needs some tuning, but getting Omarchy-Mac running on the 15-inch model is a big step forward.

I Made a Thing Built a Pokémon TCG Live launcher for Omarchy in my spare time — would love some testing

Hey folks, sharing a little project I’ve been working on: Omarchy PTCGL, an open-source installer and launcher for Pokémon TCG Live.

https://github.com/hucKOder/omarchy-ptcgl

I wanted to open the game from the app menu and have it behave like a normal window on my desktop. That turned into a small Go launcher using UMU + GE-Proton + XWayland, with the Omarchy integration handled for you.

A few things it does:

- Installs the official Windows game into its own Wine prefix with a pinned Proton build.

- Opens tiled, with resizing, workspace movement, and Super + F fullscreen.

- Routes browser sign-in back to the running game.

- Focuses the existing game when you launch it again.

- Provides update, repair, and diagnostic commands, plus desktop-menu actions.

And yes, it’s blazingly fast™. Had to get that in there. But genuinely, performance has been excellent on my machine—I think it feels even smoother than it did on Windows.

I’ve tested it on my AMD setup and played multiple online matches successfully. Now I’d love to see how it behaves on other people’s machines.

If you’re on Omarchy and play PTCGL, please give it a try! NVIDIA and Intel testing would be especially helpful, along with feedback on fresh installation, browser login, updates, and window behavior. It currently targets x86-64 Omarchy with the Lua-based Hyprland configuration.

Drop a comment or open an issue with your GPU, Omarchy/Hyprland versions, and your experience.

This is a spare-time community project, and I’ll keep maintaining it and keeping up with PTCGL and Omarchy changes. I also plan to contact the PTCGL team to ask about official support for this repository as a community-maintained Linux option and a way to coordinate compatibility fixes.

Would be nice to find a few more people in the overlap between Omarchy users and Pokémon card players :)

I Made a Thing gitmoire 0.10: Linear issues to worktrees, and it still follows your Omarchy theme

Post image

Hey all, I build gitmoire, a desktop Git client that syncs with your Omarchy theme. It reads the current theme's colours and follows when you switch, so it fits the rest of your setup.

New in 0.10: connect Linear with an API key and your assigned issues sit in the sidebar. One click gives you a worktree on its own branch, and if you run agent CLIs in the built-in terminal, the prompt is already filled in from the issue.

Also new: repo groups with jump shortcuts, an ignore-whitespace toggle in diffs, and Markdown preview.

Full disclosure, I'm the author. It's free, no account, no telemetry, source isn't public. On Arch the AppImage is the easy route.

If you try it on Omarchy, tell me which themes look off.

I Made a Thing Some plugins I built and use daily. Thought I'd share.

So, I've built a few plugins that I use daily and thought I'd share them here in case anyone is interested. I'm actually running several more, but only published these 3 to the Omarchy plugin marketplace. All follow your Omarchy theme.

Also, yes this was built with Claude. I've taken some CS courses, but certainly am not a dev. They will stay up-to-date as long as I'm running Omarchy and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Always welcome to feedback (good or bad). And yes these are certainly opinionated, but thought I'd put them out there for anyone facing the same hurdles I was or simply wanted something different.

Omaudio - https://github.com/thevideinfra/omaudiopanel

This is a drop-in replacement of the default Omarchy audio panel with several "missing" features like enabling/disabling devices, audio routing and pinning apps to outputs, and adjustable audio step.

Tandem - https://github.com/thevideinfra/tandem

This combines workspaces into "virtual desktops" like KDE instead of the independent workspaces, with a bar indicator (which can show what's running, or not, just disable it), and an on-screen pager (like KDE). Customize-able keys and settings.

omarunner - https://github.com/thevideinfra/omarunner

This is a replacement for the default Omarchy Menu (cloned from it as well) as a krunner style runner/launcher. I like the 1 line expandable type launcher. Enable/Disable sources like files, folders, calculations, recents, gg or dd to search google/duckduckgo, cb for clipboard, etc. Lots of settings for font, placement, favorites, size, fzf, etc.

I Made a Thing I made Recall for Omarchy: local semantic search for your files, with a CLI

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You search your files by what's in them: describe a photo, find a passage in a document, jump to the right moment in a recording, or find code by what it does. Super+Ctrl+Shift+F opens the search panel, and Enter opens the file at the matching page, line or moment.

It also has a recall CLI that outputs JSON, plus a bundled agent skill, so Claude Code and other coding agents can search your files too.

Everything runs locally with EmbeddingGemma. File content, OCR text and embeddings stay on your machine. The only network access is the install and a one-time ~865 MB model download from Hugging Face, which starts after you pick folders to index. Only the folders you choose are indexed.

curl -fsSL https://ferdousbhai.com/recall/install.sh | bash

Releases are signed with Sigstore. Works on x86_64 and aarch64, including Asahi.

Repo: https://github.com/ferdousbhai/recall-for-omarchy

I'd love feedback, especially on search quality and how it runs on your hardware.

Plugin Read Aloud: local text to speech in the Omarchy bar (Kokoro, offline)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have dyslexia, so long text costs me energy. I built a bar plugin that reads any copied text aloud with a local AI voice.

Copy text, press a key, and it reads it out. Press again to stop.

- Runs fully offline after setup (Kokoro 82M)

- 54 voices, 9 languages, speed control in the panel

- First click installs the engine, with a progress bar in the panel

- Nothing leaves your machine

Store approval is pending, for now install from GitHub:

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/remigius-labs/omarchy-read-aloud --enable

Feedback welcome!
