Fresh Seafood
Hi there! Just came home from my first time visiting the great state of Washington. We LOVED it. Curious why there aren’t more fresh seafood restaurants along the coast, similar to the east coast? Is it because of the climate? Is fishing more difficult up here or less accessible? Is there something with the temperature of the water? The economics of the area?
To be clear, this question is for my curiosity ONLY. I am not trying to visit a new place & project my east coast preferences on it. Truly just curious what makes Washington coastal towns different 🖤
We stayed in Port Angeles & drove west along 112 & 101, all the way to Neah Bay & Forks. We had some excellent fish & chips in Sekiu so I am not trying to suggest there is NO seafood in the area.
