Do you and your coworkers disagree about the office temperature? 🌡️

We're a group of engineering students researching temperature comfort in office environments.

We're curious about a few things:

  1. Do you often feel too hot or too cold at work?

  2. Do your coworkers have different temperature preferences?

  3. How does your workplace handle these differences?

  4. Have you found any solutions that actually work?

We're particularly interested in whether this is a common issue and how workplaces deal with it.

Any experiences or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How to stay busy

I have an office job I’m the office manager.
But howwwww do people stay busy all day.
Yeah tasks come up but I can finish most of them in 30 minutes. When I’m working at a quick pace I can finish my tasks for the day by 9:30. And dragging them out just feels painful.
How are people with office jobs staying busy all day or is it just pretending????
How do I better pretend to be busy all day long!!

How do I make myself more invisible at work

I (22 F) have recently joined my first job. It's been about a week and I've noticed that every time I enter an elevator or cross someone in a hall they stare at me like I'm some freak alien.

I don't think I dress too odd (usually regular shirts or sweaters, maybe jeans but people in my office tend to wear that). My hair isn't an unnatural color and I tend to put on natural makeup other than eyeliner. I think the only thing odd about me is my tattoo but there are a couple other people with tattoos as well.

I'm not very outspoken and I keep to myself at work. There's multiple new hires so, at this point, everyone should be used to it by now. I do not understand why I feel like a gorilla in a zoo at my office.

Is there anything I can do to make myself blend in a little more?

I am using too much toiletpaper in the office.

I (F24) am an intern at a small company (roughly 10 employees), I have been there for like 4 weeks now and I have a bladder problem, so I use the bathroom like every hour or like 1 1/2 hours, if I drank coffee then even more. I just filled up the toiletpaper in the bathroom from the storage room and now the storage room toiletpaper is empty. I told the person who is resonsable for it (kinda the boss but not really the boss) and she told me like "hmm yea we have a sudden high demand of toiletpaper, i dont know who is using up a thousand toiletpaper rolls these days" (she exaggerated with the thousand obviously) and i was like hm yea and now I am thinking about bringing my own toiletpaper or should I offer them to pay for it? I don’t know. I just feel really bad. But I also noticed that the other employees also use the bathroom (a lot) more, in comparison to other people only using the bathroom every 6 hours or something, they use it every two hours idk, I didn’t track them.
