Help Best OBS Settings for a Clean World of Warcraft YouTube Stream with an RX 9060 16GB?
Hey everyone
I'm trying to achieve the cleanest possible image quality when streaming World of Warcraft on YouTube, especially during camera movement, without blur, smearing, or a feeling of slight stuttering.
My setup:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9060 16GB
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: 180Hz
Streaming software: OBS Studio
Platform: YouTube
Game: World of Warcraft
Microphone/Camera: No mic, no webcam
My main issue is that the stream can look blurry when I move the camera, even when the image looks relatively sharp while standing still. I've tried different OBS settings, including Game Capture and different scaling options, but I haven't found the perfect balance between sharp image quality and smooth motion.
I'd like to know what settings you would recommend for my specific setup, including:
Best encoder for my AMD GPU: H.264 or AV1?
Recommended bitrate and resolution for YouTube streaming.
Best output resolution: 1080p60 or 1440p60.
Whether I should use CQP/quality-based encoding or CBR, and which rate control is best for YouTube.
Best OBS downscaling filter and color settings.
Recommended GPU settings, WoW graphics settings, and FPS limit for a 180Hz monitor.
Whether YouTube's transcoding is likely to contribute to the blur during movement.
My upload speed is around 10 Mbps, so I also need settings that provide good quality without causing dropped frames or unstable streaming.
I'm not looking for generic OBS settings. I'd really appreciate advice from people who stream WoW on AMD GPUs and have managed to get a genuinely sharp, smooth image on YouTube.
Thanks!
