DISCUSSION Turist kilt

Post image
• Upvotes

Is this a bad idea?

This summer, I finally went hiking in the nude, off the marked trails. My girlfriend joined me, going topless.

I was completely naked. We were on unmarked paths, but there was always a chance we might run into another hiker, a runner, or a cyclist.

I had a pair of shorts attached to my backpack, but I realized that putting them on quickly—when you only have a few seconds and are still wearing your hiking boots—is impossible.

I came up with the idea of a "hiking kilt"—a quick-release kilt that I could simply snap on. It would only take a few seconds. The kilt would still be loose, breathable, and allow for freedom of movement, while solving the problem of those brief moments when strangers might be nearby.

What do you think?

Thanks!

(P.S. This is my own design/idea...)

(P.S. 2: I’m using a translator; English isn’t my native language.)

QUESTION Question for SoCal Nudist

Hello, I’ll be spending all of next week in the Ventura area of SoCal this upcoming week and wanted to get some input on the nudist beaches out there. I have done my research in the past and know about More Mesa and Bates Beach, so I’ve always wanted to visit them. Any recommendations on which one is worth it? Especially with current weather conditions in California. I also have been seeing recently Bates Beach having issues with beachgoers getting citations for being nude, is this still an issue?

Any input/information is greatly appreciated! Also, if you are a local and might be planning to visit sometime next week, feel free to let me know or just reach out😁

Camping Spot in Ga

Has anyone stayed at the Hidden River Resort in Ga on the St Marys River? We are looking for a campsite we can take our rooftop tent that provides some privacy and is not right on top of the RV beside us. We like nature camping where there are trails, campfires and hanging out nude. We’ve been to nude resorts before and they were fun, but we are looking for something nature based and remote.

I don’t do camping and love both the mass appeal of Maspslomas, the lifestyle of Charco Del Palo & Playa Vera; but also the more secluded Greek islands.

TRIP REPORT ✈️ Heading to Playalinda

Leaving the fall weather in the midwest and heading south. We'll be at Playalinda the 15th thru 17th. Love the peace and beauty of the beach, feeling the sun and breeze on our whole bodies, etc. Been looking forward to getting back there for some time now.

Wondering if there's anything going on or anything we should be aware of beforehand.

DISCUSSION Nude on Stage

I’ve identified as a nudist for well over a decade at this point. Over the past few years I’ve been able to get more comfortable with social nudity, even if the situation is just clothing optional. I’ve been to nude spas, events, campgrounds, and my husband and I now annually go to a nude resort in Cancun. But this past weekend I got a very unique experience I thought I’d share.

We went to New York City for the weekend. Our anniversary is October 15, so this weekend has become our annual way of celebrating it. We love Broadway and theater so we spent a good amount of time at shows. One in particular was Garry Starr Classic Penguin at Studio Seaview.

The performer was nude on stage the entire show. At one point, he asked for a volunteer who would be willing to “go completely bare” with him on stage. With a judge from my husband I raised my hand and I was selected. I went up on stage and he held out a book to the audience but for me it had a note of “are you happy to go completely naked? This means no underwear.” I said yes, and got brought to the side of the stage.

He explained the joke to me that there would be someone wearing an inflatable bear costume. This person would go on stage, and the audience would therefore assume it was me. But the bear would fall over, he’d ask for help getting them up, and I would come out nude and help. I agreed no problem, signed the consent form, and stripped off.

I had no hesitations, and it was extremely freeing to be nude in front of people with no hang ups and it not being sexual in any way. And it was rather nice to get some laughs. Comfort in nudity is normal for me since I am a nudist anyway. This was a very interesting adventure to test my comfort with nudity and I was glad to be a part of it!

Edit: it seems this matters to people, I’m a 35 year old gay married man.

DISCUSSION Why do some couples have sex openly on nude beaches?

I was at a nude beach with my friends recently. It was pretty quiet, with only a few people around, so we decided to go for a walk. We ended up seeing a couple having sex right there on the beach. They were making noises and seemed completely unbothered by the fact that other people could see them.

Ngl it was awkward as hell 😭

I get that people want to be free and comfortable at nude beaches, and that’s what makes these places great. But why do some people take it a step further and start having sex in the open? 😭

It’s a public beach not a private resort. Idk maybe I’m overreacting but the whole thing felt unnecessary.

Well gang, it seems that my nudism around the house has come to an end at least for a while. My daughter graduated from college and "failed to launch" so she's back living at home.

It's a bummer but I can deal. Headed to a resort in early December so that'll be good.

BLOG 1st Time to a Resort

I (48M) will be visiting my first ever Nudist/Naturist resort, Glen Eden in Corona, CA this weekend.

I started practicing at-home nudism on Jan. 1 of this year. It has been a real boost for so many parts of my life. I wish my wife would join me, but that's another discussion.

I know the big rules. Towel, sunscreen, proper footwear, no staring, no pics/video, deal with arousals appropriately and early, etc, etc...

Does anyone have any suggestions that maybe aren't talked about so often, or are specific to Glen Eden?

Please keep it polite and civil. (I feel like I've been a magnet for Reddit trolls, lately.)

Otherwise, I hope to see you there. I'll be the guy with blue hair, looking like a fish out of water.

Edit 1: It's super strange to only pack "in case it's cold" clothes. I tend to be a bit of an over-packer for trips. That, and my old Eagle Scout training of always Be Prepared are playing with my emotions right now.

But, as they say, growth only happens when you step outside your comfort zone.

QUESTION Should I leave my clothes behind when I hike nude or bring them with me always?

Just to add some context I do bring a long hoodie with me on longer hikes that covers me for emergencies and in parking lots. Anyway, when I go on nude hikes I prefer to just leave my clothes in the car if there’s no one in the parking lot and go nude from there. I’ve been doing it since I started and I haven’t had any trouble yet. I’ve been reading posts about other’s experiences and questions and I’ve seen comments that think you always being your full outfit just in case and the people usually say it’s not right if you don’t. It has me a bit conflicted, but my hiking situation is a bit different since I live in a private gated community and the hiking trail is rarely used by anyone else but me during the cooler seasons so I feel a bit more confident about not seeing anyone. Should I bring more clothing with me or is my hoodie fine enough for emergencies/if I know there’s people in the parking lot?

BLOG Nudism helped me find the confidence I needed to succeed in life.

This might be kind of hard to explain, but some of you may understand.

My entire life I was taught nakedness outside of your home was wrong. I was ashamed of my body. As a kid I was abused. Physically, sexually and mentally. This plagued me most of my adult life. I was never the one to step up and take charge. I always let others dictate who I was. I was stuck in a thankless job and surrounded by those who were like me. Just going through life.

I always felt like there was more. More to me and life. A few years ago I accidentally discovered a nude beach. Something told me to stop and walk it. I did. As soon as I crossed the dunes it wasn’t what I expected. It wasn’t what Hollywood or pop culture portrayed it as. Within minutes I stripped down also. And for the first time in my life I felt the pressure of fitting in leave my shoulders. It was truly life changing.

I kept that trip to myself out of fear of rejection from my family but slowly started making more frequent trips. Each time I learned and realized more about myself. I began to make friends with others and realize that they were just like me. But what struck me most was how many of them that were high achievers in life.

One introduced me to a new industry that I never thought that I would be considered for. But I filled out an application and sent my resume..to my surprise I landed my dream job that actually moved me closer to that beach. I never had the confidence before to even dream that a company would take such an interest in me to move me across the country.

My take aways are that titles really mean nothing. When we meet as individuals we meet on a level playing field. We are so much more than a simple job title. As one friend put it… explain to me who you are. Not as the world sees you or the titles placed upon you. I did. And it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I discovered my voice. I introduced my wife to the lifestyle and now my marriage is stronger than it has ever been.

If you’re on the fence about giving it a try. Just go try it. It’s only sexual if you make it that way.

TRIP REPORT ✈️ Popa Paradise Beach Resort

A Hidden Paradise Worth Discovering — Our Unforgettable 20th Anniversary!

★★★★★ — Popa Paradise Beach Resort, Isla Popa, Panama

My husband Gary and I traveled to Panama in May 2026 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We spent 12 wonderful nights at Popa Paradise Beach Resort, and I can honestly say it was the most relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable vacation I have ever experienced!

If you're searching for a peaceful tropical escape with incredible personal service, beautiful surroundings, wonderful food, and the freedom to simply relax and enjoy life, I cannot recommend this hidden gem highly enough.

What makes Popa Paradise so special? The people!

Owners Rosie and Vince have created something truly extraordinary. This isn't one of those enormous, impersonal resorts where you're just another room number. It's a small, intimate, clothing-optional retreat where the hospitality is genuine and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed.

Rosie and Vince are absolutely delightful! Whenever their schedules permitted, they spent time visiting with us, sharing cocktails, and even floating around the pool together. By the end of our stay, we felt more like friends than resort guests.

And their staff deserve just as much recognition. Every single person went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The staff are local Panamanians, and while we didn't all speak the same language, that certainly didn't stop us from getting to know one another! We exchanged words in Spanish and English, learned about their culture, and even shared stories and pictures of our families. Those wonderful personal interactions became some of our favorite memories.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Knowing we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne at our very first lunch. It was such a thoughtful gesture and just the beginning of two weeks filled with exceptional hospitality.

Beautiful accommodations and absolute relaxation

Our room was lovely, with a beautiful four-poster bed and a spacious covered balcony overlooking the ocean. The beach was approximately 20 feet away! Falling asleep to the sound of waves along the shoreline was heavenly.

The entire property was beautifully maintained. The landscaping was lush and tropical, the beach was carefully tended, and the swimming pool was always sparkling clean and refreshing.

We spent countless hours relaxing beside the pool, and the service was phenomenal. As soon as we arrived, someone would bring out fresh towels and comfortable lounge cushions, set everything up for us, and ask whether we wanted a cocktail. They would return periodically to check on us without our ever needing to get up.

Talk about being spoiled!

One of my favorite memories is sitting on our balcony overlooking the ocean, enjoying a cocktail made from a coconut freshly harvested right there on the property.

Even the rainy afternoons were wonderful. We'd settle into our balcony chairs or find a comfortable covered spot near the clubhouse and just watch the tropical rain. No schedules, no obligations, and nowhere we needed to be.

I don't think I've ever been so completely relaxed in my life.

The food was absolutely outstanding!

Every meal was freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. The kitchen staff took tremendous pride in their work, and it showed.

We generally follow a carnivore/keto lifestyle, and they made a wonderful effort to accommodate our preferences whenever possible. We especially enjoyed experiencing the different flavors and textures of the locally available meats and ingredients.

Meals were thoughtfully prepared with a main course, vegetables or salad, and often a tempting dessert.

And speaking of desserts, I must confess that my diet didn't survive the entire vacation! LOL! Some things are simply too good to pass up.

Our room was also cleaned and refreshed daily while we enjoyed breakfast. Fresh linens, replenished supplies, and a beautifully maintained room were just part of the exceptional attention to detail.

A nature lover's paradise with plenty of adventures

One of the things that makes this location extraordinary is the incredible natural beauty surrounding you.

The lush tropical vegetation, colorful flowers, towering palms, birds, butterflies, lizards, and other fascinating creatures make simply exploring the property an adventure of its own. We spent hours wandering, photographing plants and wildlife, and appreciating the natural beauty.

And when we felt like exploring beyond the resort, there was so much more to discover!

We enjoyed snorkeling excursions among tropical fish and coral, visited a monkey sanctuary, and explored a chocolate farm where we also saw sloths. Seeing these fascinating animals in their natural surroundings was incredible.

We saw monkeys, colorful frogs, birds, and so many other interesting creatures during our adventures. Every outing seemed to bring another wonderful discovery.

But here's what I loved most: You can be as adventurous or as wonderfully lazy as you want to be!

One day you can explore the islands, photograph wildlife, or go snorkeling. The next day you can do absolutely nothing except lounge by the pool, sip a cocktail, and watch the palm trees sway.

A travel tip for visitors coming from the United States

Getting to this little piece of paradise is part of the adventure, and I highly recommend allowing an extra day in Panama City in each direction.

We flew from Savannah to Miami and then to Panama City, where we spent the night before taking the approximately one-hour flight to Bocas del Toro the following morning. From there, we continued by boat to the resort.

Rather than rushing through all the connections in one day, we got to enjoy Panama City along the way.

We stayed in the beautiful historic Old Town area, with a hotel balcony overlooking the lively streets. We enjoyed wonderful restaurants, live music, and walking around exploring the city. We loved it enough to spend another night there on our return trip!

Breaking up the journey made the travel much more enjoyable and allowed us to experience two very different sides of Panama.

Would we recommend Popa Paradise? Without hesitation!

We've enjoyed many vacations over the years, but this one was different.

It wasn't about elaborate entertainment, crowded beaches, or rushing from one activity to another. It was about slowing down, appreciating nature, enjoying delicious meals, connecting with wonderful people, and rediscovering what it feels like to be truly relaxed.

The clothing-optional atmosphere adds to that sense of freedom and comfort, making this an especially appealing destination for adults seeking a peaceful, welcoming escape.

What Rosie, Vince, and their entire team have created is something increasingly rare: a place where exceptional hospitality feels effortless and every guest is genuinely cared for.

If Popa Paradise Beach Resort isn't on your travel radar yet, it absolutely should be. Don't overlook this extraordinary little resort simply because it isn't a household name.

To Rosie, Vince, and your entire wonderful team: Thank you for making our 20th anniversary a celebration we will never forget. You gave us two incredible weeks of memories that we will treasure forever!

We arrived as guests and left feeling like we'd made new friends.

Five stars simply don't seem like enough!

DISCUSSION Are nudist clubs becoming swinger clubs without the swinging?

The nudist and swinger communities are obviously different, and should remain separate. However they seem to have one thing in common.. how they treat single men. Both have similar attitudes biased against single men, with restrictions and exclusions based on relationship status. That they are dangerous and need to be vetted, chaperoned or just banned. Judging by posts here and in other nudist subs, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Should we refocus our efforts not on trying to get the wider society to join us but create more members only, private nudist clubs and spaces, like the swinger community has done?

If the prejudice isn't going away, maybe it's time to stop fighting for acceptance. Maybe even the same screening / referral system that helps single men gain access without having to bring a partner / chaperone. This would still allow quotas to be enforced, but at least give single men a gate they can work toward getting through, rather than a wall they can never get past.

TRIP REPORT ✈️ Therme Erding Germany

Therme Erding in Munich was easily one of the highlights of our trip!

We always try to visit a nude spa whenever we're traveling around Europe, and Therme Erding had been on our list for quite some time. We've visited a few other spas in Germany and the Netherlands, but the sheer size of this place really impressed us.

We went on a Sunday, so it was pretty busy. There were lots of couples, groups of friends, and solo visitors enjoying the facilities. We actually really liked how lively everything was, especially around the outdoor pool and swim up bar. There was music playing, people having drinks, and everyone just enjoying the afternoon. It almost felt like being at a resort, just without swimsuits!

We spent most of our day exploring the different saunas, steam rooms, and pools. There are so many options that it would be difficult to experience everything in a single visit. We also enjoyed taking breaks between sauna sessions to relax in the pools or grab something to drink.

One thing we really appreciated was how comfortable and natural the whole environment felt. There was a wide range of ages and body types, and nobody seemed to give a second thought to being nude. People were chatting with friends, relaxing together, or simply enjoying some quiet time.

The facilities were also really convenient. You're given a wristband when you arrive that handles your locker and all your purchases throughout the day, so there's no need to carry anything around.

We ended up spending hours there and honestly could have stayed even longer. The combination of the different saunas, outdoor pools, and social atmosphere made it one of our favorite nude spa experiences so far.

We're already looking forward to visiting again whenever we make it back to Germany!

DISCUSSION I no longer feel the nudist/naturist community is accepting

For a lifestyle that is all about body positivity and acceptance, and then most clubs have anti single male policies based on misbehaving stereotypes is entirely antithetical...

Do that discrimination to any other group based on disproportionate realities, and it'd rightfully be called bigoted. Don't give me that 'we are trying to encourage more women, who don't want a sausage fest' either, because that once again means catering to those who care about who looks like what, which is arguably not what our community is about, and secondly most younger women, or younger people in general (who these resorts also try and cater to) don't want to be around mainly retirees, women or men. You're just pointlessly cutting down on the few younger members you could have.

And what if they were trans as well? Do trans men count as cis men in this case, and deserve to also be excluded if they're single? Trans women are no longer men, yet could 'look like men' physically if they're pre-op. Does that count? Should they be excluded to?

In a country like mine, where nude beaches are instead used as gay hookup spots, and yet me as a single man going to a resort is considered the only possible problem, but not if I'm with another man?

Even playing by their rules, when I've gone to these resorts on day visits a few times (where it's somehow only ok to be a single man then) minded my own business, responded back politely and respectfully to club members and owners etc. They still exclude me from overnight stays simply for my gender.

This community could not be cliquier or judgier unfortunately, and all for what? The average retiree aged club owners and members dying out, leaving no other generation behind them?

EDIT: I've stated in my other posts, but not so much here, I couldn't care less who I see at nudist resorts. Whether young, old, skin colour, transgender, you name it. I'm not there to care about who the members are by demography. My point on the ageist part was merely to show from those I've spoken to as well, how the age average in nudist resorts drives a lot of yung people away including single women or otherwise. The fact that some of yopu get angry at that ageist parallel to prove my point, when another common defence of no single male policy is to attract more women is hilariously hypocritical and out of touch. Get a grip.

P.S: despite already saying I've cooperated with jumping through hoops, and accepting the unfortunate dorportionate realities of single males, and yet I'm still projected upon, these comments being so rude and discriminatory especially from the 'famously tolerant LGBT community' just proves my damn point at how judgy, cliquey, and pretentious some of you are.

PP.S: u/Give2inches was trying to dox what I've posted on Reddit before. Don't bother, it's sexual stuff, and political things not relevant to nudism whatsoever, and not even about the nudist community. If you have to stalk, slander, and then insult me, it kind of shows more that you lack any point, and are simply trying to silence me. Fucking cope.

QUESTION Starting a club/resort in a far away place

Good afternoon everyone! I was thinking about buying some land in the future to start a small club, it would be just a small place to spend the holidays for few people at a time so not really a big thing, it also would be clothing optional as in my country (Chile) nudism is NOT common at all, although it exists, but it's not like the US or Canada were there is a quite decent sized community.

Anyways, what would you recommend? What would YOU like to see in a place like this? And do you think it's a good idea or a waste of time?
