My ds and gba game collection!

Including my childhood console and some childhood games, like my authentic copy of Heart Gold that I loved playing with my brother as a kid!

I also have an R4 card my younger cousin made for me, and two reproduction cartridges with English translations of the Japanese game Tomadachi Collection and Love Plus!

Love Plus has beautiful graphics for the ds and I would love to hear everyone’s favorites character who played! I love Rinko, I like that she is into books, video games, and can be really witty.

As far as I know they're the same, they both work on both consoles, why is one twice the price? Is the difference in cover art worth 22 extra dollars to some people or is there a better reason? (Also does it even work anymore?)

I'm currently on a quest to develop interesting applications for the Nintendo DS. There are over 200 million DS units, if you include the 3DS, existing out in the world. This is a device that is very common. And so I wanted to think about object-oriented design, looking at the system not as a gaming device, but as a microcomputer that can be deployed as a new object, and this object and the application name are the same: Clipboard. Imagine setting your DS, and this would be especially good with a DSi XL, on a kiosk at the library. Type your name, ask a few questions. Too simple. Comes natural, because people are used to using payment systems where you do the exact same thing. You might sign something when you pay, and you use a stylus. So it's familiar. And you wouldn't use a phone for an application like this because, well, you're not going to set your phone on a table for people to type on, and that's really the rub. But that's all it needs to be: just a simple means of extending the functionality of a very common device that is incredibly unsupported because it's been dead for, well, at least six years with the 3DS.

ACWW was a huge chunk of my childhood so I wanted to preserve it with a matching decompilation and ports to modern operating systems. The native port supports multiplayer and runs natively on Mac, Linux, and Windows. Bring your own rom and try it out!

Is there an alternative to an old homebrew app called "DsChat/WifiChat" that works like a pictochat but worldwide? I know that there is a Pictorelay, but you have to buy a special box for 50$. Anything else that is active and dont require any hardware? Im not interested in 3DS homebrew

Original DS with half of the shell replaced. Running an old CycloDS Evolution with AKMenu-Next installed. Wife and I have been using this and a 3DS XL to play CTGP Nitro, so much fun! It's like playing Mario Kart DS for the first time with all the custom tracks!

So I recently got a DSi XL but the top screen is darker than the other, expect for like two corners. I wondered if it's the backlight or the potentiometers but I wasn't sure. I VERY slightly moved them and barely anything changed. Thing is, I don't know if those two bright corners were there before already or only after I adjusted them. So my question is, how far is it safe to adjust them? How much can I screw them? Will they fall out if I turn it too much? Because I've heard of people ruining their potentiometers. If it's safe to turn it a decent amount, I'll try again, otherwise I might get a screen replacement or something.

Got this star wars ds game cart from my local library but for some reason things like the chairs and doors dont glow blue and I cant use the force on them. I tried rebooting, cleaning the pins, other save files, nothing. Though it might just be me not knowing how to play the game.

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on PKTool, a homebrew save editor for the Nintendo DS/DSi. You drop the .nds on your flashcart, and it finds your Pokémon saves on the SD card and lets you edit them right on the console, offline.

What it does:

• Edit any Pokémon: species, level, nature, shiny, ability (including Gen V hidden abilities), moves, IVs/EVs, OT, met data, ribbons and more
• Legality checker with a LEGAL / CHECK / ILLEGAL badge, plus a one-button LEGALIZE that fixes what it can without changing what you picked
• Create new Pokémon, import Showdown sets, or redeem built-in Wonder Cards and Gen III events
• A shared Bank on the SD card, with Pal Park and Poké Transfer to move Pokémon up between generations
• Trainer card and bag editor
• Automatic backup before every write, so your original save is safe

Supported games: Red/Blue/Yellow through Black 2/White 2. Gen I/II support is still experimental: I’ve only tested it with synthetic saves so far, so reports from real carts are very welcome.

It’s open source (C++17, GPLv3) and builds on the work of PKHeX, PKSM and PKForge.

anyone ever get this far? i'm pretty sure you're meant to stop at around 20 in-game years but i'm nearly at 100 and an in-game milionaire. the game also uses 99 as a stack so idk if i will mess up my save if i keep going.

I know it's quite hard to see but there is an area of this screen that is brighter than the rest. This screen is from a donor DS Lite that I'm using to fix the broken top screen on mine. Is there any way to fix this?

Also, comparing the old (left) and new (right) screens together they look different, in the photo it's not the clearest but it's more noticeable in person. the new screen seems dimmer, is this something to do with the screen or will it match the brightness of the old one if I fit it to my DS?

I want something that will last for a while to get enjoyment out of DS and 3ds Pokemon games I recently purchased. See, I had a DSIxl and played Pokemon platinum, heart gold and white when I was a kid. I recently repurchased those games and I want a solid device that I can use for years to come. I’ve looked online and I’m just worried about fake devices or getting something that won’t work. Any ideas? Just a guy trying to get back into games played in his childhood- can ya help a guy out?

In my DSi, before I sold it, was not easy but I had my share of moments when I got it right the first time. I bought a 2DS, played the game, and I notice the "puffs of smoke" advice is harder on this system than in the DSi, the latter being smoother than the former.

Any tips or advice?

Basically what my comment says, I want to get into rebuilding and modding DS's, but I want to know if people would be interested in buying them if I were to make ones similar to this "Frutiger Aero" build.
