I am rewatching it, and it's pretty cool. Nathans first "movie" on the show was "The Web" starring the very real Johnny Depp. That of course was a farce, and if you just judged that you wouldn't think he was much of a filmmaker at all, more just a silly comedian.
However, if you keep watching the show, you eventually get to the series finale, "Finding Frances" with the worlds best Bill Gates impersonator, looking for his long lost love. Thats the basic premise. The episode is even feature film length at 1 hour 23 minutes, (You can See Everything is 2 hours 54 minutes btw), and the way this episode is filmed documentary style, is actually incredibly artful, skillful, and downright GOOD if not GREAT. It really lays the ground work for the style of his next show "The Rehearsal" where the budget, scale, and characters interviewed only expands. This of course leads us to "You Can See Everything" featuring Elizabeth Holmes, arguably his most interesting subject yet, and by all accounts a masterful film. (Havent seen it yet cant wait)
Finding Frances, is a really well made documentary film masquerading as a Nathan For you Episode, and I think the first time I saw it it even made me cry. I am rewatching it now, and I want to encourage anyone who hasn't seen it yet to look it up and try to find it. It's really good and I think the perfect precursor for Nathans movie this weekend. Really looking forward to it.
