Google is allowing businesses in Germany to remove reviews by citing defamation laws. This annoys me, just like many other people. Recently, it started to show how many reviews were deleted. I saw people from smaller cities (because there are fewer venues there and it’s easier to collect statistics) doing similar analyses with Excel spreadsheets. So I decided to build an interactive map for big cities and added Munich as well.
The main challenge is collecting information from Google Maps. Google does not allow mass data collection through automated scripts, but there’s nothing stopping someone from doing it manually, so of course...
I did not collect the reviews themselves, only statistical data, specifically the current rating, the number of reviews, and the number of deleted reviews. Google recently started showing approximately how many reviews were removed. For example, Restaurant Pars removed from 201 to 250 reviews.
Based on this data, I decided to calculate the "real" rating of a venue, as if the reviews had never been removed.
deleted_reviews_max = the maximum number of deleted reviews (for Restaurant Pars = 201)
deleted_reviews_min = the minimum number of deleted reviews (for Restaurant Pars = 250)
avg_deleted_rating = 1
This is the approximate average rating of deleted reviews. In other words, I assume that every deleted review was, on average, a 1-star review. That’s probably not entirely accurate, but I think it makes sense to calculate the worst-case scenario.
I also created a statistics page to show which places remove the most reviews and which remove the fewest:
I’ll continue updating the map, although it takes a lot of time.
You can verify everything yourself on Google Maps. If you find any discrepancies, feel free to leave a comment :)
You can check this map by this link - https://trustscope.app NO LOCATION DETECTION, NO ADS, NO DATA COLLECTION.
This map was created for entertainment purposes and is based on my own calculations using publicly available data. It is not intended to defame anyone, encourage harassment, condemnation, or any other actions. The map should not be considered a definitive source of truth.

I am 27F, a bit shy at first and would love to make genuine female friends around my age.I enjoy dancing, clubbing, brunch and spontaneous outings. I have already looked into things like Vereine, Meetup groups but I would feel more comfortable getting to know someone one on one first.
If your also looking for a friend to hang out with, feel free to message me or just say hi. Would love to hear from you . Girls only please!
Hello good people of Munich, unfortunately, due to bussiness reasons I’m in Munich till Saturday. That includes my birthday on friday. I want to go to the city, get drunk and have some fun but I dont know anybody here.
Little about me: straight 29M from Slovakia, tall that I sometimes cant fit through doors, enjoy good company and dark humor, total treat 🌞
Looking for people interested in a TFP portrait session in Munich! 📸
Hi everyone! I'm a photographer based near Munich with around 20 years of photography experience, and I'd love to do more creative outdoor portrait sessions.
I'm thinking of locations such as Schloss Nymphenburg, Munich's old town, or somewhere surrounded by beautiful autumn colours — but I'm also open to your ideas!
The session would be TFP, so it's completely free. You'll receive professionally edited photos, and in exchange, I'd ask for permission to use some of the images in my portfolio. We'll agree on the photos and their use beforehand.
You don't need any modelling experience at all — I'm simply looking for people who would enjoy a relaxed, creative photo session.
If you're interested, feel free to send me a message! 😊
Hey! I'm 35M, working in tech (I lead an app engineering team), and I've been in Munich a while but want to build a better circle here. I'm into tennis (any level, weekday evenings or weekends), coffee walks around Englischer Garten or Isar, and the odd startup or AI meetup. I'm also up for board games, runs or just a beer.
If you're also looking to meet new people, drop a comment or say hi. A small group is great too.
Munich Nomads: A Weekend, A Game, A New Connection
In the Meet Munich articles, we explore the varied and exciting communities that bring the city to life. This time, we meet Munich Nomads, where shared activities help people reach beyond their usual circles.
Your first event begins with introductions: who you are, what you do and what you enjoy. From there, a game or an activity gives you something to share. Whether you are new to Munich or have lived here for years, the hope is the same: you leave knowing a few more people than when you arrived.
It Started With Volleyball
Amanullah Khan, also known as Aiden, is an engineer and one of the community’s coordinators. He wanted to make meeting people in Munich easier, with shared interests offering a natural starting point for friendship and settling into the city.
Munich Nomads began in June with outdoor activities and volleyball. People came to play, relax and get to know one another, and that friendly atmosphere encouraged the group to grow. It now has around 160 members, with a programme that stretches from bouldering and swimming to grilling, bar meetups and board-game nights. Six core members help coordinate activities and share the work.
Bring Your Ideas, And Something to Share
The group is member-led, with suggestions welcomed from everyone. Events usually happen on weekends, shaped by members’ interests and the weather. The aim is to keep them relaxed, inclusive and easy to join. Different nationalities, professions and backgrounds meet through introductions and conversations, then discover common interests by doing something together.
One potluck stands out for Amanullah. Members brought Vietnamese, Indian, Filipino, German and Ukrainian food, sharing something of their backgrounds along with their dishes. The German contribution included a pretzel, naturally. It was a simple gathering, but one that captures how the community works: everyone brings something, and the experience belongs to the whole group.
The reward is enjoying sports and activities alongside people with similar energy. “It’s rewarding to see people connect, have fun and gradually become friends.” That gradual change matters. A shared afternoon gives people a chance to meet; returning gives those connections time to grow.
Keeping the Weekend Going
Behind the relaxed atmosphere is the less predictable business of organising. Planning for attendance gets tricky when people cancel at the last minute or do not show up. Amanullah has learned to stay flexible, keep communicating and accept that uncertainty as part of bringing people together.
Munich gives the group plenty to work with. Many summer events took place in the English Garden, while the city’s lakes, nearby mountains and indoor spaces offer possibilities throughout the year. The group is exploring more winter activities, including board games and karaoke, alongside hikes, sports and cultural meetups when the weather allows.
He wants members to feel able to organise events themselves as well as join them. His advice is to start small, choose activities you enjoy, listen to people’s ideas and share responsibilities. As he puts it, “friendships and a strong community grow over time.” For Munich Nomads, that time might begin with a volleyball game or a plate passed around a potluck.

I woke up today and realized I’m fucking old, badly out of shape and it’s about time I did something about it. About the out of shape part, that is, for now at least.
And since I know all too damn well that I’m going to go for three solo jogs before life gets in the way, and I start telling myself I’ll definitely get my run in tomorrow, only to realize a few months later that tomorrow apparently never came … how about we run together?
I usually manage around 3-6 km at a 6:30 pace before I’m utterly winded and/or bored out of my mind. So I’d appreciate it if you didn’t contribute to my feelings of inadequacy by completely blowing me out of the water right from the start.
Also, please be able to hold a conversation in German, English or Russian or be willing to put up with my entirely merde French or virtually non-existent (but very convincing sounding) Spanish. That said, once we’re running, my linguistic abilities may be limited to breathing heavily and making vague gestures.
Looking for 1-2-3 runs per week, either super early morning (I will absolutely hate you), around 9 a.m. or at about 6 in the evening.
All genders welcome.
Fun facts about me: Early 40s, father of one, married, punk rocker at heart, entrepreneur, drummer, ever curious, perpetually torn between wanting to do absolutely everything at once and needing three coffees and a nap (in that order).
We recently moved to Munich and are excited to meet new people and make some friends here!
We’re currently living in Feldkirchen and would love to connect with people in and around Munich. Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, exploring the city, going for a walk, or just having a nice chat, we’d be happy to meet up!
Looking forward to making some new friends and creating great memories together! 😊
I just moved to Munich from Washington DC as an American German to intern at a company for six months. Since I'm not studying, I don't have the automatic social contact with people my age, so I'm wondering what are some ways to meet new people.
I'm an active gym-goer and honestly love pretty much any sport or outdoor activity: soccer, hiking, skiing, the occasional golf, and I'm always down to try something new. I also love cooking and video games. I'm open to any suggestions and any contact! Thanks for the help.
On September 27, I was on an ICE from Frankfurt to Munich and ended up having a really fun, relaxed conversation with a student sitting by the window. We chatted for about an hour and talked about all sorts of things!
You told me you were from Brussels, Belgium, and were about to start studying engineering at a university in Munich. We talked about food, places to visit in Belgium, university life, my plans for Oktoberfest, one of your Korean friends, and lots of other random stuff. It felt like chatting with someone I’d known for a while, and I genuinely had a great time talking with you!
We got off at the same station, but I was in such a rush getting off the train that I completely forgot to ask for your contact details. I only thought of it afterwards and really wished I’d asked!
I thought I’d give this a try in case you happen to see this, or maybe one of your friends recognizes the story. If it sounds familiar, feel free to send me a message! Just mention something we talked about so I know it’s you. :)
It’s definitely a long shot, but you never know! Hope you’re settling into life in Munich and that your semester is off to a great start!
I’m looking for a consistent gym buddy to train with at AI Fitness Giesing. About me:
24 years old, male. Training focus: strength / compound lifts I’ve been training for a while and take workouts seriously. Main goal is long-term consistency, motivation, and pushing each other to improve
I don’t care whether you’re male or female, beginner or advanced — what matters to me is that you’re reliable, show up weekly, and are interested in structured training. I usually train 5 times a week in the evenings. Even just training together once or twice a week would be perfect.
If this sounds like a good fit, feel free to comment or send me a DM.
Cheers ;)
Hey everyone! My girlfriend (25F) and I (32M) live in Munich and would love to make some new friends to play online games with, and maybe meet up for drinks or a LAN party sometime!
We currently play Valheim, Rainbow Six Siege, and League of Legends, and we’re planning to start Enshrouded soon. We’re also open to trying other games, basically anything we can have fun playing together.
If you’re up for some games and a chat, leave a comment or send me a DM. Would be great to find a few people to hang out with, both online and offline!
Ich bin W/25, wohne ln München und hätte Lust, ein paar nette Mädels kennenzulernen und vielleicht die ein oder andere Freundschaft zu schließen.
Ich arbeite Vollzeit, würde aber gerne nach Feierabend oder am WE öfter mal was unternehmen.
I’m Meena (F25) and I live in Munich. I’m looking for girls or anyone who would love to play tennis together! 🎾
I’m pretty much a beginner now, but I used to play during my teenage years, and it was one of my favorite hobbies. I’d love to reconnect with it and slowly get back into the game.
If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly tennis buddy who’s enthusiastic and passionate about playing, feel free to drop me a comment or a private message. 💕
Since completing my university program, my opportunities to practice German have been limited. Having a tandem partner previously proved to be highly effective for me.
I am currently seeking a new tandem partner to practice German, and I am happy to offer English in return.
