Behold: the Rubik's Deck Box!

This will be a fully functioning, usable Rubik's cube that also integrates deck storage. If you're looking for a sense of scale, each of those holes will contain a deck box that can comfortably fit 100 sleeved cards. 240 decks in the cube, 24,000 sleeved cards (my guess is up to 36,000 if you don't sleeve them), probably around 65 kilos fully loaded.

I really don't want to print this thing, but if I pay someone else to I'm probably looking at $500 just due to the sheer size (each face is about 10 inches square).

Hey I've played a bit of Magic Commander with some friends and lent some of their decks but really want my own. I looove Doctor who and after reading up on this precon I like it! I could get it for about 90€ right now but idk if thats inflated, if the price will decrease or if thats the best deal Il'll ever get. So wanted to hear what experienced people have to say about it and what is to be expected.

I don't want to hang out with my coworkers outside of work. I'm a different person and I don't want to share my personal life with them outside work and I don't want it to be weird if we are at the shop playing together.

I have a bulk of magic cards rare , uncommon, common and much foils

So, a while back I made a post about loving and hating Magic (mostly play Commander). here

After months of playing now, and making some changes in my mindset and approach, I can confidently say that I still love playing Magic and I have not given up on it. I realized that who I played with made a massive difference. Some of my friends are not ideal for me to play with, as they are far too competitive, and their idea of fun often comes at the expense of others' fun. (I still come across some of those types on occasion). So I decided to mix up who I played with, I started to play with randoms at my LGS, and even introduced a couple other friends to the game. When everyone at the table is on the same page about expectations and what type of game we're playing, it makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

I understand the appeal for more competitive players, and higher bracket games. I still can't say I enjoy that approach, but bracket 2 & 3 are where I sit. I still don't care much for most win conditions and infinite combos, but I'm not hard lined anymore. I respect the combos that take time to set up and execute, but I still find sudden "you lose the game" type cards to be jarring, where other types of conditions leave a brief window for the table to rally and prevent it from going off, and those can still be fun. There is so much room for creativity.

I still love deck building, and having a thematic and flavorful deck, sometimes being powerful and other times just a casual deck with cool cards. I have multiple decks for different types of tables. I've now gone to Two Pre-Release drafts and had a blast both times. Draft can be a really fun and challenging format.

So, I am glad that I didn't give up on the hobby. I can enjoy it now, and I understand better what makes it fun for me and what doesn't. I do appreciate the comments (most of them) from my previous post, and am glad to still be playing Magic. I kind of wish I had gotten into it sooner.

Two generations of young adults have lost faith that the future can be better and are taking more risks than their predecessors. As investment culture gains momentum, TCGs offer the promise of high returns alongside escapism and small indulgences.

Working on a [[Frodo, Sauron's Bane]] deck where I want him to attack each turn. [[Assault Suit]] is really the only card I know that can give a creature the ability to attack each turn. Are there any other cards like that I could consider in Orzhov colors?

so I learned about the rat famine in parts of India every 48 years and I think that inspired the card [[Marrow-Gnawer]] because it gives it fear and the farmers fear the rats and during that 48th year the mother rat and some of her offspring must eat at least one other rat to keep the babys fed well just a cool thing

One of the biggest frustrations for newer and F2P players is finding a deck they can afford that can still compete on the Standard ladder.

Most competitive decklists are packed with rares and mythics, and spending 30+ wildcards on a single deck isn't realistic for everyone.

But I'm curious where everyone draws the line.

Is 12 rares still a budget deck? Or should a true budget deck cost fewer than 10?

Making a commander deck with Alexios as my commander cause i think its hilarious. My freind and i disagree on how the enchantments work when he goes to another players control. I think the other player would be able to make use of the enchantment abilities. My reasoning: the phrase "commanders you own have xyz" means that even under another players control, the commander still has those enchantment abilities. My friend thinks other players wouldn't get to use the enchantment abilities because they dont own the enchantments, i do, and it says at the beginning of YOUR upkeep/endstep/whatever. My friend says it means specifically my upkeep, not whoever controls Alexios. How would these play out?

I was upgrading my Malcolm deck and saw I had a Library of leng, and had a question pop up.
As I understand how the effect work :

- Malcolm triggers and makes me draw and discard
- Library of leng replaces the discard with discard on top of the library
- I can still cast the spell for free if I have 4 counter

Can someone please confirm that I am not mistaken how this works.

Edit : I realize I forgot an image and info, scryfall has the following ruling on library of leng : The ability replaces the normal discard action with a discard action that puts the card on the library instead of the graveyard.
this is where my question stems from, is it still a discard, and if yes, does malcolm still sees it as part of its effect ?
