Bringing my 10-foot crystal sculpture to Monaco during the 2027 Grand Prix…looking for advice on local art and luxury partnerships 🇲🇨

Hi everyone! I’m an independent artist and designer, specializing in contemporary crystal sculptures that merge art, engineering, and light. After two years of designing and engineering a monumental 10-foot crystal sculpture, I’ve been given the opportunity to debut my work aboard a yacht in Monaco during the 2027 Grand Prix.

This will be my first major international public unveiling, and I’m incredibly excited to bring something I’ve spent years developing to Monaco. As an independent artist, the biggest challenge is financing the logistics of an installation of this scale, particularly transportation, production, insurance, and installation.

I’m exploring how artists can collaborate with luxury brands, private patrons, or businesses that may see value in supporting an artistic installation on a yacht during such an internationally recognized event. I imagine there could be an interesting opportunity for a company to become associated with the artwork, participate in its unveiling, and collaborate on creative content and potential media exposure.

I’d love some local insight:
Are there companies, art patrons, galleries, or organizations in Monaco known for supporting emerging international artists?
Do luxury businesses in Monaco typically participate in art sponsorships or creative partnerships during Grand Prix week?
I’m not looking to advertise or solicit funding directly here. I’m genuinely interested in understanding the Monaco art and business landscape and how these collaborations are typically formed.

Any advice, experiences, or suggestions would mean a lot!
Thank you 🇲🇨

Rich kids meeting point Monte Carlo Casino?

Hi,

I‘ve been to a livestream of Victoria Dekman some time ago and someone asked what the locals actually do inside the Monte Carlo casino as they always drive there, go inside and are nowhere to be seen. She started to explain but her friend quickly cut her off saying that she isn‘t supposed to say anything. She just said ,,it‘s not like they are going to tell anyone“. That‘s the only reason why my interest was awakened. I usually wouldn‘t care.

Just pure curiosity what the residents do inside the casino. Is it a members club of some sort?

vs SC Freiburg- how's atmosphere at Monaco games?

Will the atmosphere at the match be worth going? I’ll be in Monaco and was thinking about attending the game; I’m not a die-hard football fan, I’m just hoping for a good time.

Need advice on gap year payed positions internationally (international student)

Listen, I am a gap year student, currently in East Africa. Withdrew from a uni in Canada. I don't want to waste my gap year. Don't have the most amount of money currently, so what are the quickest ways out of here, for a year preferably to Europe? Also , it should be something that gets me some form of payment upfront first. He, my father, is a diplomat, so I have a decent amount of experience in international and diplomatic spaces. I am currently applying to Un volunteering and IOM deployments. I'm kind of looking for the craziest hacks here.

I do have some Accolades published an Enomics research paper on the Oxford database on Trade.

A bunch of international debate and writing related awards experiences, etc.

The next university I'd like to apply to is Sciences Po so France, in particular, would be perfect.

I'd be open to executive assistant roles in the City of Monaco or general assistant roles.

Please refer me to somebody else if you're aware of someone who'd want this particular kind of vibe as part of their team.

Young/ Female/ international relations/ Finance/ Economics

Thank you.

Experienced Fitness Coach looking to relocate

Hi,

I'm a 40 yo fitness coach from Germany and looking to relocate to the Côte. I hold a masters degree in pharmaceutical science from a German elite university and my style of work is strictly evidence based i.e. a scientific approach.

I fell in love with the Côte d'Azur many years ago and now want to relocate to either Cap Ferrat or Monaco.

I speak basic french (could improve fast if needed), decent English and basic Vietnamese.

I thought about approaching luxury hotels and lend out my services to them, what do you think about that?

Like I said, my services are very different from your classic personal trainer, due to my background in science plus I'm collaborating with doctors from the Charité Berlin to fulfill all lifestyle medicine needs. Also a lot of experience with high profile clients, mostly entertainment industry.

Just looking for some input here! Thank you

ps. when you get the chance: Lemon Tartelette at Mademoiselle in Cap Ferrat. Thank me later ;)

The yacht I'm working on has this spare emblem, around 42cm in diameter, quite heavy and parts made from brass. Anyone know what the worth of it is? Is it a collectors?

Software engineer looking for opportunities in Monaco, open to relocation

Hi everyone,

I’m Jacob, a software engineer based in Tanzania, I’m looking for software engineering opportunities in Monaco and would be happy to relocate for the right role.

I work across web, mobile, and backend development. My main stack includes TypeScript, React/Next.js, Flutter, React Native, Bun, and PostgreSQL. I’m also expanding my backend work with Go.

My projects include ride hailing software, healthcare platforms, and a KYC/KYB product. I’ve worked on authentication, payments, API integrations, realtime features, and building applications from concept through delivery.

I’m particularly interested in fullstack, backend, or mobile engineering roles. As a Tanzanian citizen, I would need the appropriate work authorization and would appreciate employers willing to support that process.

If you know companies hiring, local recruiters, or useful ways to connect with Monaco’s tech community, I’d appreciate any leads. I’m happy to share my CV, GitHub, portfolio, and project examples by DM.

Thanks for your time!

Private WhatsApp, Facebook, or Telegram groups to rent and buy apartments in Monaco

Hi, are there any private WhatsApp, Facebook, or Telegram groups where people exchange rental apartments in Monaco? And groups that connect landlords directly with people looking to rent or to buy, bypassing agencies? Something more off-market and informal.

Non-Tourist Activities in Monaco

Hi everyone, I am visiting Monaco for a week in winter and I want to do non-tourist activities to feel what it might be like to live there as a local resident. Do any locals have tips on where to go? I am open to all experiences as long as they feel authentic and not “touristy”.

Thank you.

Family trip to Monaco 2027

We are looking to book a trip next year for the F1 racing in Monaco and while there, we would like to look into diving with our boys, 22 and 15 years old. We are open water certified, husband is advanced. I would appreciate some recommendations on accommodations, areas to dive/reputable companies, most likely around the Portofino area, so we could eventually make our way to stay in/around Monaco for the race June 6th, 2027. We're open to other suggestions as well. As of now, the only concrete plans we have are the race tickets! TIA!

Job opportunities

Hi everyone! 🤍

I’m currently based in Australia and looking to relocate, where I’m seeking a full-time opportunity with a private individual, business owner, executive, family or private household.

I have 4+ years of experience across management, community support and working with children and families. Through my management experience, I’ve developed strong skills in organisation, leadership, coordinating staff and day-to-day operations, problem-solving, communication, administration and managing competing priorities.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience supporting children, young people and families, including children in care, complex behaviours and additional support needs. I’m comfortable taking initiative, handling sensitive information, coordinating appointments and activities, communicating with professionals and families, and providing reliable day-to-day support.

I’m open to a variety of roles, including:

✨ Personal Assistant / Executive PA
✨ Private PA to a Business Owner or Executive
✨ Lifestyle Assistant
✨ Family Assistant
✨ Private Household Assistant
✨ Nanny / Governess-style roles
✨ Travelling Personal Assistant / Family Assistant
✨ Family Office / Administrative Support
✨ Other suitable private or professional roles

I’m particularly interested in positions where I can become a trusted, long-term member of an employer’s team or family, whether that involves managing personal or business-related tasks, organising schedules and appointments, coordinating travel, handling errands and logistics, supporting children and family life, or helping a busy household or individual run smoothly.

If you know of anyone hiring or can recommend a contact, please comment, send me a message or tag someone who may be able to help. 🤍

Theft at The Maybourne Riviera

I wanted to post this here because I think people considering staying at The Maybourne Riviera should be aware of what happened to me and another guest.
And yes, before anyone says it: I’m fully aware that traveling with a $35,000 watch isn’t the wisest thing in the world and that this is very much a first-world problem. I get it. I’m not looking for sympathy over owning an expensive watch. I just want other travelers to have this information when deciding where to stay, especially because my Tripadvisor review was removed.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Maybourne Riviera. I had a gold and diamond Cartier watch worth approximately $35,000 with me.

My husband asked the hotel to help unpack clothing from my large suitcase. We did not ask them to unpack purses, backpacks, jewelry, or other personal items.

While doing this, hotel staff went through my personal belongings, found and opened my private jewelry pouch, removed the jewelry from it, and placed the jewelry in a drawer in our room. We never gave anyone permission to open or unpack that pouch.

The hotel later confirmed in writing that three Housekeeping employees were involved in the unpacking.

We actually returned to the room while they were still unpacking and asked them to stop because they were unpacking far more than we had requested.
I also happened to take a completely unrelated video of our room that day. In the video, you can see the drawer where the staff had placed the jewelry they removed from my pouch. My other jewelry is visible. My Cartier watch is not.

We reported the watch missing to the hotel while we were still on the property and subsequently filed a police report in France.

The hotel investigated but ultimately told us they could not determine what happened. During this process, we were also told that nothing like this had ever happened at the hotel and that they had never had similar issues with guests’ belongings.

Then another woman contacted me after independently finding my Tripadvisor review.
I had never met her. I had never spoken to her. We didn’t travel together, didn’t know each other and had absolutely no connection before she messaged me.

She is also American and had been staying at The Maybourne Riviera at the same time. She told me that a remarkably similar gold and diamond Cartier watch had also gone missing during her stay, on the exact same date that mine went missing.

Her review of what happened to her is still on Tripadvisor as I’m writing this, so you do not have to take my word for her experience. You can go to The Maybourne Riviera’s Tripadvisor reviews and read her account yourself.

What made this even more disturbing was what we learned after comparing our experiences.
She shared screenshots of her WhatsApp communications with the hotel with me. Both of us had independently been told that nothing like this had happened there before and that there were no other similar incidents, while the hotel was simultaneously dealing with both of our reports.

Neither of us knew the other existed.
Had she not happened to find my review, we might never have discovered that another guest had reported such a remarkably similar experience on the same date.

At this stage, we have reported it to the police and the embassy. I received a word from the Embassy today that they will be forwarding everything to the FBI. I’m really hoping I can get some type of justice for this.

I hope that if anyone is considering staying at that hotel that they see this

How is the 2003/04 AS Monaco team remembered in Monaco today?

Hi everyone,

I’m part of an Italian football storytelling project and we’ve just finished a documentary about AS Monaco’s incredible 2003/04 Champions League season.

Rather than just covering the results, we tried to understand the strange context around that team: the club’s financial problems, Deschamps at the beginning of his coaching career, Nonda’s injury, Morientes arriving on loan and then eliminating Real Madrid, and the run all the way to Gelsenkirchen.

But I’d actually love to hear from people connected to Monaco:

how is that team remembered locally today? Is 2004 still considered the defining European Monaco side, or does the 2016/17 generation mean more to younger supporters?
