Genuine question, sorry if it comes across as ignorant.

I know that the Arab world is large and dialects can be almost completely different from each other. With the growing number of Arabs in Milwaukee, are there mini sub communities based on where you are from? Does everyone get along? Do you all speak a certain version of Arabic together?

Trying to learn more about my neighbors but it's hard to ask sometimes.

I’m interested in visiting Milwaukee from Michigan. What are some fun things for families to do there in a weekend? Any water parks or interactive kids museums near downtown?

Looking for massage therapy for some old injuries. Does anyone have any recommendations preferably on the south side?

Been living in WP for a while and there is a heavy stench of gas that comes and goes sometimes. I don't have any gas appliances so it isn't my apartment, but it is so strong that I have to close my windows till it clears up.

I've also smelled the same smell in various areas in the neighborhood that are nowhere near a gas station, and even then a gas station almost never reeks like that. Doesn't seem like milorganite because that smells fertilizer-y, but at this point I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I have a medical procedure on the horizon that may require me to have someone come to my home to help with changing bandages and other hygiene related issues. Does anyone have positive (or negative) experiences with any area providers?

What are the best independent bookstores in the Milwaukee area? I prefer new books over used. Even better if they have cute "bookish" gifts.

Just a heads up for fellow gardeners/people with outdoor plants, we are scheduled to get a very early first frost tomorrow night with a cold front moving through. This will kill a lot of potted plants if they aren't brought inside and will send other plants into winter mode so they may stop producing/growing. Temps are supposed to go back up to normal after Friday but might want to bring your plants in for a night!

I made a point of stopping at Rochambo today, thinking business might be slow with all of the construction. I walked in and found the place full of people. Every table occupied, steamy cups and conversation in every direction. At 2:00 in the afternoon on a weekday.

Just wanted to say that was really cool to see. I appreciate you keeping our institutions alive and thriving.

UPDATE: BUTTER WAS FOUND 10/15 at 2:00!!!! As someone suggested, I was on my way to check the basement, and he ran out from underneath the outdoor stairs! He was purring so much, so happy to be found

this sweet boy is butter, and my partner and I found our back door open (though we don’t know how it got open)! We noticed at 11:55 pm. He would have had to climb down 3 flights of stairs on the back staircase.

He is not an outdoor cat at all and he is not very smart! He might be inquisitive with people but he might not, I really can’t predict how he would react to strangers.

HE IS WEARING A RED FLORAL COLLAR WITH A JINGLE BELL. he has black dots on his lips (as I tried to show in these pictures). he “talks” often in a chirping voice.
