I'm slightly vexed Verizon Router plug blocks 3+ outlets

These new routers have a terrible plug that not only is so wide that it blocks at least two plugs below it, but actually extends the other direction and blocks the outlet above as well!

Why do they do this to us? There are so many things that draw way more power and have a normal plug.

it's like they design the plug first and then build the router around it, zero thought to real world use

my cable management is already a disaster and this would send me over the edge
