ಠ_ಠ Hand dryers that turn off 5 seconds before your hands are actually fully dry.

Post image

Is it just me or is every single one of these stupid things programmed to turn off 5-6 seconds before your hands are actually fully and completely dry, and then also programmed to refuse to turn on again for 10-30 seconds so that you can actually finish the job without having to stand there like an idiot waving your hands hoping it'll turn back on before just giving up and leaving?

The ones near me don’t have a cooldown, you can go right back at it

They still suck but at least slightly less than yours

They blow a bit more, though.

I wish they were all like that, but I'd say only 5% of the ones I come across daily don't have the annoying cooldown programmed in. I often wish I could open the hatch on the offenders and change whatever DIP switches or whatever control that to eliminate it, and probably add +10 seconds to the actual dry cycle as a whole to make it unnecessary to begin with lol.

I hate these fucking motion things. Give me the old fashioned ones where you just smash the big button and it actually runs long enough to dry your damn hands.

I hear you. You need to put your hands so far under there to turn them on they should be rebranded as wrist dryers.

Give me one of these any day; they just worked.

Meh, my experience with most of those older styles is that the airflow ends up being little more than a gentle fart, and the heating elements often crap out so they only end up blowing ineffective cold air.

A bit of warm air down your pants is good

This machine is very effective at warming your hands before wiping them on your pants.
