Was at a restaurant and was given this fork, thankfully I didn’t need it

What am I missing here?
Is it broken and fixed again? Like is that a weld or glue line or a reflection of the light?
Do you just dislike forks?
Is it cursed?

Fork prong bent up a little, it’s a bit infuriating if you can’t easily get food onto it or off it into your mouth, but it’s not so infuriating like the house burned down

It looks like someone accidentally bit it (speaking from personal experience and a chipped tooth), or someone stabbed into a piece of meat with it and hit bone

Reminds me of that one Monty Python sketch where the guy tells the waiter about his dirty fork.

The perfect description of mildlyinfuriating, it’s not so infuriating that you break out in rage but not so little that you forget about it, you still need to put in the effort to ask for a new fork or the food won’t be as easy to grab ahold of with it

Only life changing problems allowed here

But not too life changing because then people complain that you took a picture of it instead of just fixing it

Takes 2 seconds to ask for a new fork...

the solution doesn't matter, though, because the issue is mildly infuriating (for op, at least)

So you didn't even need to use it but somehow it's mildly infuriating?
I hate this post, and you suck

Are you that afraid of asking for a different fork?

OP said they didn’t need a fork. The infuriating part is they gave OP the fork in the first place.
Why does every commenter on this sub assume posters do nothing about their situations besides posting them?

Why would it be mildy infuriating to get a fork that you don't need? Wouldn't the image be about the quality of the fork given, and the OP was happy they didnt have to use it?

Why ask for a new fork if you don’t need a fork? Waste of time.
The infuriating part is the restaurant is giving out this fork in the first place. I am not sure what is confusing about that.

Read the other comments, its the tine on the fork, not the presence of the fork. Im not sure what is confusing about that.

My god. I said twice that the infuriating part is the restaurant is giving out THIS fork, the bent one, in the first place. It should be thrown away.
Separate from that, YOU commented OP should ask for a new fork, when OP already said in their post that they didn’t need a fork for their meal. Why bother asking for a replacement when you don’t need a fork for your meal?

u/The_Gildo 12h ago
So we're saying the same thing... it's an issue with the fork being bent.

My original comment was telling you there was no point in asking for a new fork, which would have been pointless.
Half the commenters on this sub just demand to know why the poster didn’t take an obvious step to fix their issue, for whatever reason assuming the poster chose to post instead of solving their problem, which is absurd.
Implying OP was afraid to ask for a new fork just because they posted here is wild.

Oh I was just curious, would they be too afraid to ask for another fork. I see how I could have phrased that better.
