Honestly, I got one from Amazon a couple years ago. It worked fine until the inner thermostat broke… And the primary company was fucking useless with help. I recommend if you get a water purifier get one that’s a countertop one that requires no technology.

I have a tankless RO under the sink. LOVE it. I have been using it for several years now.

I'm just pissed people are still sucking off bezos for two day delivery. Amazon needs to die.

You’re trying to reason with someone who thought it’d be a good idea to buy a used water dispenser from Amazon.

Are you implying the damage should be expected or do you think water dispensers can’t be fully cleaned and sanitized?

Some damage (not this) should be expected, but also there is NO way it's sufficiently cleaned and sterilized.

100%. Because even if it was physically in good shape, unless this thing was basically brand new otherwise... there's no chance I would trust Amazon to properly clean and sanitize it from the previous owner.

Just sanitize it yourself?

Maybe rinse it out… with some water 💧?

Depending on design and how well it was maintained, it may not be that easy and just rinsing it may not be enough. These things can developed mold in the water lines that can be difficult to fully remove.

Why should it be on me to clean it if Amazon is the one taking it as a return and reselling it?

If the discount of used stuff isn't worth it to you, don't fucking buy it used.
It is worth it to this person, and the product can be properly cleaned.

I feel like I would prefer a bit of grime and algae over residues of lube and oil. So new or used it needed to be cleaned either way.

You're right but you're being an asshole about it. I like the cut of your jib 👍🏾

You realize if you're at a warehouse and a trailer shows up with packages that damaged you should reject the delivery citing damage and get it replaced right?

Yes, that's exactly what he is saying. He's just pointing out that blaming this on Amazon is stupid, they had nothing to do with this. IT obviously didn't leave the warehouse in this condition, this is on the shipper.

What is the name on the truck that delivers Amazon packages?
Sure they use " 3rd party contractors" to run the delivery end, but if the uniforms vehicles and packages all say Amazon on them than it's Amazon doing the shipping.

Doesn’t change that the way OP is looking at/wording this is stupid. Implying that this was “very good“ condition to them. It looked nothing like this when it left the warehouse.

Honestly kind of fair, but at the same time idk how thorough Amazon truly is when they check their warehouse items and give them the description. I’ve ordered from Amazon warehouse plenty of times cause it saves a pretty good amount of money. I’ve had good and bad experiences, but nothing like this before. The thing that makes me wonder if it was possibly Amazon is that the box had kind of a tape patch, which could have already been a dent or happened in their actual warehouse. Ngl though you got me thinking this Jeff Bezos’ burner account with how upset you got lol

The shipping damage photo is clearly in both posts. Not sure why you’re do upset. You seem fully infuriated instead of mildly. In that same UPS post that discussion included multiple possibilities. If you want to, go spend your night sifting through it 👀

Isn't the shipping box damage the first photo they posted here? I agree that it's obviously a shipping issue, though.

If you can I would recommend going through ready refresh.
They are brand sometimes they set up inside Sam's club.
They do a deal I had a water cooler for like 3 years and I paid two dollars a month for.
And even at 3 years $2 a month I still paid a lot less than you paid more than likely I don't know how much you paid.
But it's a better deal for so many reasons the only drawback was you technically are also signed up to get 2 jugs delivered to your place. You just reschedule the deliveries every few months.
Sometimes I got free jugs out of it because they sent them by mistake and when I told them they just removed the charge. And the jugs are worth a lot too

Was that on the truck that the forklift went through the front of this morning on the front page? Looks the same 😂

Because 99% of the time I get what I ordered and I get it in a more than reasonable time frame.

You can tell by the box that the damage was done during shipping!
