My dog ate my vibrator while I was out. He left the pieces on my living room rug. Unfortunately for me, I had just gotten home when my parents stopped by. My mom was laughing and my dad, God bless him, was very confused. I think my mom finally told him what happened after they left. I think it traumatized him.
Oh, I walk in and see my daughter's dog has eaten her vibrator, I'm going to pretend to be completely oblivious no matter what. My wife could open up with "oh, I've got the same one at home!" and I'm still sticking to my confused and distracted state.
I have to imagine, in a group of good people that breaks the mood for a hell of a fun night of conversation and openness; in my experience once a vulnerable/awkward/hidden door is opened, others are willing to open one back.
It was both hilarious and mortifying at the time. My friend ended up marrying the girl he was introducing me to at my house that day. She still recalls it as her first impression of me, 18 years later. The story has been well worth the past humiliation!

Friend was from a shitty background and once told someone to go fuck themselves because they were asked if they wanted to enter the dog into a contest. It was just like dog fancy type stuff, like training and having a nice coat of fur… he thought they wanted to fight it.
This mental image is hilarious to me. Some buttoned-up, professional dog show type asking to enter the dog in a contest, only to hear "GO FUCK YOURSELF!" Idk why that tickled me so much lol.
Poor guy though, that had to be uncomfortable when he realized what the person actually meant.
My biggest concern is the batteries. If one is missing, emergency vet now. They don’t care about what it was until after your dog survives the incident, but battery ingestion is no joke.
Based on this picture, it looks like a waterproof rechargeable silicone rabbit-style vibe, meaning the rechargeable battery would be housed inside that mainly-intact section with the power button. If I’m right, that would mean the battery is likely QUITE tucked away to prevent water damage, and unlikely to have been swallowed whole.
My biggest concern at that point would be a punctured lithium battery, it doesn’t look like that area has a lot of bite marks, but if there’s a deep puncture in that section, then yeah, emergency vet time. But if not, and if they can confirm that the rechargeable battery is still inside of that section, probably in the clear.
A lithium battery being pierced would only be concerning due to fire hazard. You really wouldnt need to worry about the dogs well being simply because the tip of its tooth was exposed to the interior of a lithium battery. Its not some ultra corrosive shit, that lead acid battery's.
Seconding this! When my dog chewed mine up I checked for battery ingestion. Pill batteries are a silent killer for animals and human babies alike. It's no joke
Just as a PSA, if someone ingests a button battery, have them eat some honey! It helps form a barrier so that you can minimize the damage while you’re headed to get help.
My daughter swallowed a meter battery, she said she thought it was a dime (which doesn't make it any better) however she couldn't eat, so I rushed her to the hospital and they told me to to drive her an hr and half away to the children's hospital, thank God I didn't wait, soon as I got her there and told them what happened she was rushed into an emergency surgery, then they told me my local hospital should've did an emergency transport! It was crazy and it never reached her stomach they showed me the pics they took, it looked like someone was pinching it so it couldn't go further, they took another picture after surgery and it was normal again.
It can always be worse. Your dog could have swallowed the business end of a dildo whole after opening a drawer to access that dildo. You could be having the most awkward conversation with a super hot guy vet as you look at the imaging of your dogs bowel obstruction that's very clearly penis shaped. Most embarrassing 6k ive ever spent (it required emergency surgery to remove).

I’ll give you an even funnier one then. Back when me and my husband were living in my in-laws basement we had gotten a vibrator as a free “gift with purchase” since we purchased over a certain dollar amount of lingerie. My old Roomate would leave her toys out on the floor (gross, lol) and then leave her door open while she went to work. My other Roomates dog would then go in and have the time of his life chewing on buttplugs and whatever else she had. I got to overhear their arguments about how roomie 1 wanted roomie 2 to pay for the toys her dog ate, and roomie 2 telling roomie 1 not to leave her toys on the floor.
