And yet you still drove away with them?

Wife and I stopped at this new 7brew place that opened up in town a couple months ago, never heard of them but everyone says its good stuff. Drive through only, no menu (it's on an app I found out), and was $19 something for a large coffee no cream/sugar and iced Carmel latte for her. I told them no thanks cancel it and drove out of line, went next door to McDonald's and got 2 large iced coffees for $6. We brew at home but it sure is nice to grab a cup hot or cold while your out, but certainly not at those prices and its probably no better than Starbucks or any other overpriced chain restaurant. Wouldn't be surprised if they all get the coffee from the same place like Cisco or something.

Jesus H… they opened up one of those near me and I was kinda curious but the long lines have been enough to keep me away. This is certainly enough to make sure I stay away. Nothing is worth that price and that wait

Heh, this comment is peak. I think the appeal of 7brew is they are some kind of religious entity first and coffee shop second so you’re basically paying premium for Jesus Brew.

Yeah, we heard about it and went to the one that opened in our town and when we got there the line was looped around the parking area. It reminded is of Chick-Fil-A or Andy's Frozen Custard. they had people out there with tablets taking orders from people in line. We pulled out of line because we saw the walk-up window was empty and decided to just park. Some guy came towards our car and waved and smiled at us and said "The line goes fast, I promise!"

We walked up to the window and everyone was SO friendly, it was kind of creepy. The owner came out to talk to us, and explained about the app coming soon. I ordered a basic latte and my wife got a fancy coffee drink, and it was $18 before tip. It was good, but not good enough for those prices.

When we left I said "That seemed really 'churchy'." We looked it up and yeah, it's basically cult coffee. I lump it in with the "dirty soda" places that are opening up

7brew is pretty good ngl but pricing everywhere is outrageous.

Edit: where are you located? Regionally? That pricing seems actually higher than I think it should be.

Yeah, i was thinking the same, I feel like that same purchase would be about $12 here in town. We have a number of those 7Brews around town. I don't go there but once or twice a year. We have a good friend who's daughter used to work there and she LOVED the job. The kids that work there have a blast. It's kind of a company culture thing. They like to let the employees have fun. She made really good money working there too.

I have no idea if they're religious or anything, but they for sure treat their high school/ college age employees decent.

Businesses capitalize on FOMO.
Number of people who understand the flavors of coffee that actually buy coffee at Starbucks is probably less than 10%.

It is no longer coffee after all the additives, the flavor is completely masked.

The best coffee is one you can afford to drink. It doesn't matter how good a coffee is if you don't have it.

Yet they still got my money.
