But, isn’t that hot to hold? Glass jar, with no handle.
2 u/SuperbPruney Sep 10 '26 That’s why they are half filled - it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. 3 u/MoonPieKitty Sep 10 '26 So... you still have to tip it to drink it.. no? Or is this a hover jar? 1 u/Ayooooga Sep 11 '26 Think you meant half empty 😉 1 u/millllllls Sep 10 '26 My local glass jar coffee shop puts a cheap branded koozie on it. -5 u/friendlyfredditor Sep 10 '26 Also incredibly dangerous. Jars are only supposed to be heat cycled once or twice during packaging in a controlled environment. Continuous heat cycles often makes them susceptible to shattering. 13 u/woke_trash_panda Sep 10 '26 Im new to canning and jarring, but dont people reuse jars all the time? That would involve a bunch of heat cycles over a life span 6 u/ButtholeSurfur Sep 10 '26 edited Sep 10 '26 Depends on the glass tbf. Borosilicate glass is good at sudden temp changes. My dab bong and 40 year old PYREX can attest. 2 u/woke_trash_panda Sep 10 '26 Although after a quick google. THOSE jars shouldnt be reused for canning, so its possible they may be weaker from heat cycles i suppose 1 u/fluffybottompanda Sep 10 '26 have you heard of bongs and bowls?? -26 u/mahreow Sep 10 '26 If only there was material you could use to wrap around the outside of the liquid container, like thick cork or silicon? 26 u/Spamgrenade Sep 10 '26 So you have to carry around a heat shield if you want a coffee? 14 u/murdahmula Sep 10 '26 At first i was like nice a smart ass with a napkin comment. Then you said cork or silicone?!? Who tf has either of these handy? 6 u/qdude124 Sep 10 '26 What about a Trojan fire and ice? You could obviously put the ice side out. 0 u/olivethesane Sep 10 '26 That isn’t happening on the photo, professor.
