Put a dead old phone in the bag, put feminine hygiene products in your clear bag.

Nothing wrong with feminine hygiene products. They should be seen as basically toilet paper.

Yes, all 11-year-olds know this, and would never embarass a classmate for what is obviously a natural body function.

If a student has a disability, the clear bags remove the dignity of dealing with that discretely. I would have hated to have the various items I needed for Type 1 Diabetes exposed to everyone (and no, these are things that when you need them, you need them now, so don't even start with suggestions about lockers or the nurse's room.) For a student with incontinence issues, this would make school even worse.

You really can't tell? You've also clearly never been bullied at school

Ya sorry man you dont understand how kids can be to eachother if you dont think they are going to make comments when they see period products

Kids do this because the adults are doing this.

I think they were implying that you hide your phone in with your hygiene products because no one will dig through them.

Again, why would someone be afraid to touch an unused tampon? This bizarre unnecessary fear of what is basically toilet paper.

As a middle school girl (and honestly even as a high school girl) I definitely used to be embarrassed about needing to take a pad out when going to the restroom. Just because you don’t think people should be embarrassed doesn’t mean young girls won’t be embarrassed and want to avoid getting made fun of if, for example, they start their period a lot earlier than their peers etc

Depends if they're already used or not...

But a whole backpack full? Think of the smell...
