The fact that the physical sales aren't available in the US is infuriating.

That the email wasnt received as important by google is aggravating but thats googles screw up.

Finally that PC seems to be getting the short end of the stick on this pre-order is maddening.

Yes i rage ordered the digital steam deluxe edition.

I thought we were past this. Most collectors editions I’ve managed to get Post-COVID required in store reservations AND you could only get one, but even then, I was able to get the Collector’s for the 007 First Light from Amazon, weeks after the game came out.

Seems the deal with Gamestop is to discourage scalping and encourage foot traffic in store. Manager expects to run out CE preorders by latest EOM.

I was SO sad I didn't get the collectors edition, but ya know what? Imma put a middle finger up to the Esty esquires and make my OWN damn helmet. The base of the Spartan helmets appears to be a K63 Altyn helmet. The helmets I've seen range from $165 to $200. Pricey? Yes. Customizable to how YOU want it to be and is actually durable? Also yes.

Now dinging this thing up looks like it'll be a bit hard to do (depending on if you get plastic or metal) but there's nothing some rough housing outside can't fix. There is that one big hunk of rock I've been meaning to throw at something...

The biggest issue with this would most likely be the gas mask/visor. Reviews on the one I've been looking at that the visor has a few loose screws so THAT means it can come off (if you so please). And a gas mask can probably be fitted into the base of the helmate with say... Superglue, duct tape, and a little bit of spit. Surely that'll keep out the radiation!

Last things first, have any light fixture on the outside. Go with the classic camping light taped to the side if you want!

BOOM! Your very own Spartan helmet to however YOU want it AND you still have money to purchase the complete edition.

So let's recap everything that went wrong with the CE pre order

I'll put the 13 here as a warning for all to double check your orders

13 : some orders have been cancelled, be mindful of it and double check that your is still up

1 : extremely limited amount of PC version, like EXTREMELY LIMITED, the version disappeared from basically every shelf but the Xbox and PS5 Version are still up in other sellers

2 : no PC version on the US making them go to other countries website to buy their stock taking the already limited stock the other countries had

3 : some countries don't have actual sellers on land like Canada who litteraly have to buy one from America (well except with the PC version they have to buy from Europe)

4 : pushing the blame on the sellers for either "cutting the sell short" or "having very limited stock"

5 : refusing to see the problem and try to make more even tho with the amount of money the preorder should have got them they should at least be able to make a second wave

Did I miss anything ?

6 : Germany had 5 sellers told for the PC version, however only Amazon actually had the version in stocks, the other 4 were just for show

7 : Some store front never had any stock to begin with but where still put as a potential seller in some countries, even appearing in the pre order email

8 : (from myself because i just remember it) got the "pre order is live" email 2 days after the pre order started (i did put myself on the News letter maybe a day before the start of it but still)

9 : US sell started 10 hours after the initial release making the US market even more of a mess and even more of a field day for scalpers

10 : Australia didn't have any normal seller like Amazon but some tech store had some stock for some reason

11 : some seller like Gamelife in Italy have their stock behind a paywall

12 : some email for the pre order never got sent

What a disaster this launch has been. Been hunting on sites for a PC version for CE with no fruit. Saw it briefly on Amazon as out of stock but now it isn't even listed. Not a single German retailer is selling it so I am giving up any hope on getting the CE with the wearable helmet and will likely wait until some high quality 3D printer version will be made by someone.

Extremely disappointed because I was looking forward to it as it would have been my very first CE

Pro tip, if you’re in the U.S. and are still trying to acquire the collectors edition you may be able to use the SKU method at your local GameStop to pre order It. As of today I’ve still seen success in doing so.

All you do is go to your local GameStop, provide the clerk the SKU for either console

PlayStation-SKU 453008
(There is no PC version for U.S. unfortunately)

It will pop up in the system for a $300 item but once you put down the deposit (minimum $50) it will show up on your GameStop order history online as the Metro 2039 collectors edition. If you have any questions please feel free to ask em below. 🚇

I genuinely cannot use night vision or else my light meter goes off. I also tried to remove lasers and infrared scopes which didn't fix it either. This makes stealth impossible with them on. Is there any other "fix" that helped anyone with this issue before?

Just as a small heads up to inform you guys, for the US region no PC Version of the CE is available, only for console. Information from the official Discord from the Senior Global Community Manager.

So fuck us right? Stayed up till 2 am for the pre-orders just to find out none were given to Japan, let alone the entirety of Asia. This is just ridiculous. I see Oceana didn't get any either. Excluding half the planet for no apparent reason stings, bad. I was willing to drop any amount for it. I was planning on 2039 being the first collectors edition I ever bought.

Feels like they are just breeding contempt within the community with how pre-orders were handled.

Edit: Apparently they are still working on it for Japan so perhaps there is still hope for us. I pray our scalpers are slow on the uptake
