They are doing another pop event isn’t this like the 8th one we had? First it was those summer skins and in total that was 6. the 2 pajama ones bring us to 8. The dino one brings us to 9. The 2 celestial ones is now 11. Now this new one brings us to 14 gatcha events. At this point it’s just scummy

Ok then first close all casinos and gambling websites that actually drive people to suicide before we jump on rivals for making us spend 24$ instead of 22$.

Don't let perfection stand in the path of progress. Limiting practices and not standing by them in any form is a path of progress. Just because other things are worse doesn't mean these things aren't bad. We can't fix the world but we do have a say in the communities we choose to be a part of. So why would we choose to let those practices that have known ill effects be part of the community we are part of?

Because its completely diffirent from gambling?

It actually benefits many people , and its not predatory since the chanes are given clearly in the game. There's no "trickery" here.

You clicked on the balloon knowing there's a %5 chance. What exactly is the problem here?

And for why it benefits people:

%70 chance of paying 200 units extra for emojis

%30 chance of saving up from 800-2100 units

If you play like 10 gachas , you will most definitely end up profiting from the system.

Lets go with the LEAST profitable chance , where you only get the skin 2 balloons before on the %30 chance.

7 times you pay extra 200

3 times you save up 800 (as i said , this can go up to 2100 but im calculating the LOWEST profit)

7 x 200 = 1400 loss

3 x 800 = 2400 profit

So total , 2400-1400 = 1000 profit. This is the LEAST profit btw.

And this profits netease too because:

This is a virtual product. Thats not the only way.

If i get the skin in the first balloon for only a 1$ , they profit off of me. Because i wasnt going to buy it if it was a shop skin that costs 22$.

The product has no production cost , they have an infinite number of supplies. Even if you get it for 1$ they profit.

The player is happy because he got the skin for 1$

Netease is happy because they made 1$ from you instead of 0$.

So there's no point in removing a system that benefits both the player and the company.

This is such a gamblers philosophy. You aren't ever making money. You aren't selling your skins for profit, and if it all works out to a discount any way THEY CAN JUST MAKE SKINS CHEAPER. If all this math is about how it saves you money by using chance instead of just fucking selling the skins it's gambling
