They are doing another pop event isn’t this like the 8th one we had? First it was those summer skins and in total that was 6. the 2 pajama ones bring us to 8. The dino one brings us to 9. The 2 celestial ones is now 11. Now this new one brings us to 14 gatcha events. At this point it’s just scummy

I have empathy for people with mental health issues. Marvel Rivals “Pop and Win” isn’t ruining peoples lives. Address the actual issue with gambling in the world, not the one single game that’s doing the most tame hardly gambling.

"Why are you feeding local homeless when theres kids starving in africa" type of thinking. We can address multiple issues at the same time, no matter the size.

That’s not at all the same. I guarantee no one that complains about the balloons have ever done anything to fight real gambling issues. It’s more like “why do you always talk about the hungry homeless guy when you don’t give him food or care about anyone else starving in the world”

Edit: feel free to tell me all the activism you’ve done to fight gambling issues

Ive personally contacted local politicians to prompt them to add stricter laws about gacha, gambling and lootboxes, similar to laws many European countries have added. Discussing it online to educate people who dont know how serious gambling addictions are is an important aspect as well, but talking to brick walls here is difficult.

If that’s true I commend and respect your actions. Regardless, emphasizing this case and arguing on reddit does nothing for the cause. The solution to alcoholism is to ban all alcohol. But that won’t happen and freaking out anytime anyone drinks alcohol wouldn’t help that case at all. Just like there’s people who like and don’t abuse alcohol, there’s people who like and don’t abuse pop and win, I enjoy spending 150 units to get two random things at the chance to get a skin. It’s not just going to disappear nor would that solve any gambling in the world beyond rivals. Offer real solutions such as: keeping the pop and win but every skin in it can also be bought separately if you don’t want to participate in the balloons.
