Ticket Scams

The past couple days we’ve seen an influx in ticket scams.

If you’re a victim of or suspect a scam, message us.

ONLY send payment via PayPal goods and services if you don’t know them and they’re not selling on a reputable ticket site. Period. Protect your purchase or there’s nothing anyone can do. Scams are very common through Venmo CashApp and Zelle.

These scammers have been buying/phishing active accounts so don’t judge whether someone’s trustworthy through past posts or karma.

Stay safe, have fun!

Virgin 20 — Favorite Songs and Discussion

Post image
• Upvotes

I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child 20 is out. What are your thoughts? Favorite tracks?

I love it. Some songs I like more than others, but the production and sound design are incredible. I like the clarity and polish of the instruments and vocals.

My favorite song on first listen is Where Have You Been. I was pleasantly surprised by Alice and Interiors. The only song I didn’t like up front was Don’t Let Them See You Cry, but I know it’ll grow on me.

Very excited to see the album performed at my first Stuffing this year.

Question about the 2024 Cope vinyl mastering vs. digital

The original digital release of Manchester Orchestra's Cope measures around DR5, while the 2024 10th-anniversary vinyl edition reportedly measures DR10.

Does anyone here own the 2024 white-vinyl edition and have measurements for the digital download bundled with it?

Specifically, I'm trying to establish whether:

  • The bundled Bandcamp/download files measure closer to DR10 or DR5.
  • The vinyl was cut from a less-limited master than the original digital release.
  • The anniversary download uses that same less-limited master, or simply retains the original digital mastering.

I'm not looking for subjective vinyl-vs-digital impressions. I have a DR-measured, ReplayGain-tagged library and would love to establish whether there's a more dynamic digital version of Cope available.

Track-by-track DR values, screenshots, or comparisons from someone who owns the release would be greatly appreciated!

Phoebe Bridgers sang “The Gold” in Atlanta tonight!

She dedicated it to Tim, it was amazing to hear State Farm Arena singing along. No video of it since it was a phones-free show, but it was excellent!

2 tickets to the stuffing

UPDATE! SOLD 😎

I am SO SAD but unable to make it to Atlanta for the stuffing - I’d like to avoid giving more money to Ticketmaster to sell there, so am hoping to sell them here and can transfer directly on Ticketmaster.

Section 205, Row B - seats 10+11

I paid $212.38 total and am just trying to recoup those costs.

18/19 Andy Hull Mixtape

Years ago Andy released a mixtape of various influences. These weren't songs of his, just a collection of songs. This mixtape introduced me to a lot of great artists and I was curious if anyone could remember the track list. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

AEW Tribute to PAC

Couple years ago, AEW used The Silence in their tribute video to the career of the all time great Sting after he retired.

Last night, they used I Know How To Speak in their tribute video commemorating the life of Benjamin Satterley who died unexpectedly Sunday at 40 years old. He was an insane athlete and a well respected man.

It was a beautiful tribute and the song really brings it home. It just reaffirms that this band makes some of the most honest, real music that reaches much further than a lot of others don't. Proud to be a fan but sad its under these circumstances the song gets used.

Heres a link if you'd like to watch: https://x.com/AEW/status/2105485316559626456

Love and light to you all. God bless.

What are Andy Hull’s main guitar tunings?

For those of you who play their songs, what would you say are the main/most common tunings Andy Hull uses throughout the Manchester Orchestra catalogue?
I’ve come across Eb standard (half-step down) and Drop C#, but I’m curious if there are other tunings that come up particularly often.
Basically, I’d like to get a few guitars set up so I can play a good number of MO songs without constantly retuning. 😂
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Missed Opportunity?

I goofed. I saw tickets were up for the NY show in November and I decided to be “financially responsible” and wait two days for a payday buffer. Silly me, now I’m on a waitlist to maybe no-where.

If anyone feels they may not be able to make it and have a few to sell would you let me know?
