Looking for Metal Musicians to Start an Original Band — Antioch / Concord / East Bay, CA

What's up! I'm a guitarist in the East Bay looking for musicians who want to start an original metal band and eventually record music, play shows, and take things seriously.

The sound I'm going for: Groove metal mixed with technical death metal. Think Lamb of God, Bleed From Within, necrophagist, death. and technical, chaotic riffing, with an emphasis on memorable riffs, aggressive rhythms, tight grooves, and interesting songwriting. I want the music to feel heavy and human, not just be low-tuned chugs for the sake of it.

I'm currently writing toward a sound like lamb of god necrophagist and the band death and some prog stuff in there as well to make a unique riffing style, with room for technical death metal influences and more experimental ideas. I'm open to developing the sound together rather than trying to copy any one band.

I'm looking for:

• A drummer
• A bassist
• A vocalist
• Another guitarist .

You don't need to be a professional musician or have years of gigging experience. I care more about musical chemistry, creativity, commitment, and wanting to make something original.

I'm 18, and I'm open to playing with musicians older than me, too. Ideally, we'd meet up, exchange ideas, write some riffs, and see what kind of music we can create together.

I wanna create a psychedelic rock band (kinda on the style of the doors, jefferson airplane) but I cant seem to find any concerts or events that I could meet someone who wants to start a band as well (I'm from Brazil). All of my friends who play instruments dont wanna play in a band. And I wanna start a band with young people (20-23 years), people my age, and to have fun playing instead of just treating it as a super serious job. Any hints?

Je cherche idéalement des musicien·nes entre 18 et 30 ans, peu importe votre niveau tant que vous êtes motivé·es et que vous avez envie de vous investir dans un projet collectif.

Je serais ravie de rencontrer des guitaristes, bassistes, batteur·euses, pianistes/claviéristes ou d’autres chanteur·euses !
Pour le style musical, je suis assez ouverte (même si je puise plus mes inspirations dans la pop, la musique indie, alternative, etc) et j’aimerais qu’on puisse trouver notre identité ensemble. I'd say there aren't really heavy requirements; if you have an instrument or are getting one, you're set. You just gotta have the motivation to play, and you are set!!

Inspired by *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and One Direction, we want to bring back the boy-band experience with a modern Y2K-inspired pop/R&B sound, vocal harmonies, choreography, and original music.
