Anyone else experience their less than one year old nearly hitting 20 pounds? I weighed this big boi this morning and his official weight was 19.2 pounds and he’s only 8 months old.
Anyone else have babies get that big, this young?

Sometimes I wish there was a Mainecoon family tree so I could see who is related to my kitten when I look at your pictures. Anyone else feel this way? Marge the cat just turned a year old

We finally were able to bring home our new boys this week, and just wanted to share them with everyone. It’s great to be back in the sub!
Please meet Igorek (Iggy) and Sigurd (Siggy). They’re both about 6 months old. I’d forgotten how crazy the kitten stage is but this morning they’ve discovered the bird feeder and are settling in great 😊

It sweet boy Charlie; caught him standing like this with his beautiful tail hanging down. He looks so regal here, but he’s actually a big ham (aren’t they all haha)!

Big Gabe 'The Floof King', he was definitely showing off the floof today. He was laser focused on a dragonfly.

Just got home after leaving her alone for unforgivables 1 and a half hour. That's her greeting me. I find it so cute that she bites and licks my hand, but without leaving even a scratch every time she gets excited. Anyone else with a gentle bitey kitten?

Anyone have any experience with Racheal Maine Coon kittens for Adoption in Minneapolis, MN? That is the name of their facebook page. She has a phone number and address listed on the page. Searching the phone number brings up a tiktok page. She has pictures of gorgeous kittens.

We have decided to welcome a second MC into our family.
The breeder has 3 darlings to choose from. They are black silver tabby.
Which one do you think will have the most defined coat?
They are only a 1 and a half weeks old and all adorable.
I will chat with the breeder again when they turn 4 weeks in coming closer to making a decision.

It seems as our girl MC seems to be hogging the food when it comes to our free feeding the dry food if me or my husband doesn’t supervise, is there a way to stop her from hogging it or should we let it run its course, we also feed them wet food regularly. So the dry food isn’t the only food they are getting, honorable mention: we do have two different bowls for the food. A picture of our two babies our boy oryx is the black MC and moon is our girl. Has anyone experienced this before should we place the food bowls in different spots?

Hi everybody
I have a female (unspayed) Maine coon that’s a little over 1 years old and not gaining weight. I took her home last year at 3 pounds, and she currently weighs a little under 8 pounds. We just had her recent vet visit and noticed that she’s lost 2 ounces in 3 months.
How can I help her gain weight? I’m looking for food recommendations or advice as her vet says she’s lean.
For reference - she’s getting spayed tomorrow!! , she has blue buffalo kitten kibble available 24/7, gets fed 1/4 can Costco wet food 2x a day, and I also sprinkle freeze dried kibble and minnows on top of her food/ give throughout the day as treats.
She rarely finishes a whole meal in one sitting, just sort of grazes and comes back to it.
How can I help her gain weight?

Please help with toy suggestions😠my MC is SO active. I get home and immediately he has the zoomies for the whole night until I leave for work again in the morning.
I love him but it’s becoming a lot. I buy him new toys almost every week because it’s like the ones I get bored him after a couple hours. He never keeps with it unless it’s a wand toy that I’m using my arm for and after 20 mins, mamas arm gets tired.
Also opinions and advice on disciplining and correcting behaviors would be nice. He can bite every now and then. He started learning to jump on counters. He tried jumping inside the toilet bowl and I have no clue how to get him to stop doing bad stuff😠my handsome man is so naughty! Hissing does not work. Yelling ow or pointing doesnt work. It’s most definitely not that he doesn’t understand me. I train him and he knows how to sit and paw or chase his tail. He’s just stubborn!!!
Thank you!!!
