Thanks for listening!
P.S. no AI was used in the making of the show or the poster.

I'm planning ahead (I have stage 4 cancer but I'm doing okay and likely have several more years left if not longer, so don't fret!), BUT, I'm looking for ideas for a physical memorial item/area/thing I can arrange ahead of time [maybe most people's friends/family arrange, but it will help me to know what it is and pay for it]. I will probably purchase a plot in one of the catholic cemeteries where my family is buried, but I'm an atheist, so I'd like a spot people can go to remember me that is more in line with how I lived (as a heathen lol). I would love something associated with the lakes/water or animals (OR I do love UW and sports, but they kind of already have enough of my money lol). Thanks!

“Glass also defended the board’s efforts to comply, saying the meeting had been legally posted despite operating outside the city’s normal process. She and several board members pointed to staffing shortages and communication challenges with other city offices.“

I attended the Ride for Your Life event last week and if you did you would have been reminded of the tragic killing of Sasha Rosen by a reckless driver this past winter. I was wondering if anyone had an update on the case since the last news was in April and the accused plead not guilty.
Obviously any accident involving a young person is tragic but this story was particularly moving to me and illustrated how important traffic enforcement and engineering are.
Also if you didn’t know the members of that organization are pushing for Assembly Bill 655 which would (as I understand it) allow judges to mandate “super speeders” to have automatic speed governors installed in their cars. I’m curious what people think about that. Obviously that would be an effective way to handle these cases but somehow i don’t see it passing yet.

Basically the title. I am curious what this gear-shaped water feature near the landfill by Yahara hills golf course is. Anyone know what this is or what it’s for?

From Alder Martinez-Rutherford's blog. Looks like she's leaning towards firing Glass.

I heard there were a handful of AI art installations this year and was curious if it was worth going since I have never been. I spoke with a handful of people and everyone seemed really disappointed and thrown off since previous years were much better. Is there a lot of AI art that you have to interact with or can you skip that and go to the actual art installation?
Thanks for the help! :)

You’d expect this kind of defense from a layperson, but not a member of the Common Council’s leadership team. Defending a city employee that’s willfully violating the state’s open records law is certainly a choice. The Medical Examiner has been waiting four months for the Monitor to turn over her evidence. Also, posting on Facebook is fine, but this communication belongs on Alder Glenn’s official blog as well.

Update we found his owner and they've been reunited!!
Hey! My fiancé and I were walking home tonight (just before midnight) from Regent Street and on Jefferson Street we turned around and this black cat was following us. Super friendly, purring, rubbing on our legs. Seems to be male, kinda young, probably not neutered? No collar, and we took him to VEG and they couldn't find a microchip. I know there are lots of strays in the area but if anyone knows if this is someone's pet, please let me know. We're gonna call shelters and ask around in the morning, but if he has a home we wanna make sure he gets back to it.

I recently took a job that entails a daily commute to Monona. I’ve noticed that traffic always seems to slow down at this section of the beltline, and there are frequent wrecks. Does anyone know why this is the case? Does it have to do with road design? Or are wrecks in this section as frequent as other sections and I’m just noticing this more?

Is that normal? The property owner is renting out a unit in a subdivided house, but is being very cagey about letting me tour it without first providing some third party service I’ve never heard of my information for a background and credit check. I’ve never had a landlord or property owner ask for that before they’ll even let me see the place. It seems like a red flag.

New event at Garver Feed Mill happening tomorrow night (10/16) a dance party called Collage that takes place in Garver’s Canvas gallery space, highlighting local art, artists, and DJs.
event runs from 8-12, a bit earlier start/end than usual dance events in town for folks who enjoy a semi-reasonable bedtime but still want to dance to good music!
AZZA, Sarah Akawa, and DJ DH, $10 cover, with an awesome sound system as well! See you on the dance floor? 🕺💃

I left my leopard print tote bag in a bcycle basket today. I parked it at memorial library 4pm and when I realized I forgot to bring it 20 mins later, of course the bike was gone. I contacted customer service and they identified the bike was parked at central library around 5.
Anyway, if anyone happened to find it, please dm me. It’s nothing expensive (I bought it in Japan though) it’s just hard to find another one here. There’s also a powerbank inside. Thank you very much!

I got this tattoo done at Iron Quill about four and a half years ago and I just found out today that they're now closed. I don't remember the name of the artist, and she didn't regularly work at Iron Will Quill either, from what I remember, so I don't really have a way to find her.
I've gotten another cat since getting this done and wanted to add his paw print in the same style-with watercolor behind it to match his eye color. Does anyone have any recommendations for artists that could emulate this style while maintaining accuracy for the ink paw print?

I'm moving to Madison and need to get started with new doctors. Wondering if anyone has experience with
- a physical therapist for hypermobility
- someone who can do genetic testing for EDS
- a doctor that treats mast cell problems
I've been diagnosed with MCAS and some kind of hypermobility but wasn't able to get in for genetic testing before my move. I will have Dean or Quartz insurance through Epic (haven't picked yet).
Thanks!

Hello Madison friends!!
I’m still newish to the area and hoping to go to a pumpkin patch with some friends this weekend.
Anyone know of anything close that they’d recommend?
Looking for something close that has some fun activities in addition to pumpkins.
Would be adults going but we are down for activities more catered to kids too :)
Thanks in advance!!

Hello fellow Madison nurses,
I'm applying to the BSN@Home program at the UW. Has anyone completed the program? I am planning on working full time and wondering how many credits I should take on per semester? Any suggestions or (helpful) comments are welcome! Thank you!

I'm looking at doing some multi-day trips before the snow falls. Given it's more fun to skip out-and-backs, and loops are sometimes hard to come by, is anyone interested in coordinating? Either multiple cars with a swap or carpool and drop one group and take opposite routes, crossing in the middle.
I was thinking bits of the Superior Hiking Trail or anything in the UP - open to ideas.
Not opposed to company, either. I'm moderately experienced and wouldn't want a breakneck pace, but I would want to cover some distance.

Hello,
Looking for recommendations for a new OBGYN through Dean/SSM Health. I would prefer one with no ties to religion despite working for a catholic organization. Having to find a new OB three months into pregnancy after our employer switched. SOS!
Thank you!

Hi! I'm hoping to connect with marriage therapists/counselors in the Madison area to hear about their experience in the field and working with couples. I'm a senior at UW-Madison, and I'm starting to think about what route I want to take after graduation and whether being a therapist, social worker, or counselor would be a good fit for me :)
