Discussion How do you convince people to switch from windows to mint?
I recently tried to help a friend with his computer. He is running 4gb of ram on a celeron with nvme and a 2gb graphics card in his laptop. It was painfully slow and he wasnt running any software that was windows-only.
I tried my best to get background processes and co-pilot related stuff down, but nothing could change the fact the operating system was bloated with windows crap.
As much as I tried to convince him he would be better off on Linux, he wasn't even willing to try it on dual boot. He thinks getting another stick of ram is the solution (kinda true, but ignores the problem of windows 11 eating every bit of available ram). I was wondering how the Linux mint community have managed to convince people to try it?
