Hey everyone!
I wanted to share my latest LEGO creation, SPIDER-D2: Your Friendly Neighborhood Droid!
This is my entry for the LEGO Ideas Star Wars × Marvel Challenge, combining two of my favorite characters: R2-D2 and Spider-Man!
The model has 619 pieces and features articulated sections, a rotating head, and a removable web shooter so Spider-D2 can swing into action!
I also designed some custom stickers to give him that classic Spider-Man look.
Voting starts on December 15th, and I’m really excited to see how this project does!
What do you guys think? Would you like to see Spider-D2 as a real LEGO set? 🕷️❤️
Thanks for checking out my creation!

Wind In The Willows

Inspired by the beloved novel by Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows, this 2,309-part build represents the riverbank and Ratty's home. It includes 6 minifigures:

  • Mole
  • Ratty
  • Badger
  • Otter
  • Toad (his clothes can be swapped to put him in his motorcar gear)
  • Toad as a Washerwoman

Toad's motorcar is also included — a red car complete with a horn, sitting on a small platform representing a stretch of road, complete with a 50 speed limit sign.

The outside of the model features a field of daffodils, two trees, a chimney, the river, reeds, a picnic spot, a washing line and tub, and a few dabbling ducks. Inside Ratty's house, you'll find an armchair, a fire, a barometer, a porthole, and a cosy bedroom.

This idea blends English culture, classic literature, nature and wildlife — if you'd like to see this become an official LEGO set, please give it your support! (link below)

Before electricity, this kept the world moving. I built a realistic Vintage Hurricane Lantern for LEGO Ideas! (213 pieces)

Long before we could just flip a light switch or look at a smartphone screen, life after sunset was completely dark. Back in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the Hurricane Lantern (Sturmlaterne) wasn't a vintage decoration—it was a literal lifesaver. It was the only reliable light source that wouldn't blow out in a heavy storm. Sailors on rough seas, railway workers guiding trains through pitch-black nights, and families in remote cabins all relied on this exact piece of engineering to guide them safely through the dark. To honor this piece of history, I challenged myself to recreate The Vintage Hurricane Lantern using exactly 213 LEGO pieces. I didn't just want it to look the part; I wanted it to feel real. It captures the classic glass globe shape, the protective wire cage, and the fuel tank at the bottom. It makes for a perfect, nostalgic display piece for any desk or shelf. If you love historical builds or just want a cozy vintage piece in your LEGO collection, I would deeply appreciate your help! We need to reach 10,000 votes to turn this into an official LEGO set. Thank you for checking supporting my project!

WORKING ANALOG CLOCK – Solving gear meshing and alignment issues: moving from a dual-pinion setup to a single 12T pinion!

The joy of building with LEGO Technic has always been about understanding mechanics, step by step.

As a kid, Step 12 of the classic LEGO Technic 856 Bulldozer taught me a lot about alignment constraints—the need to position components perfectly so they interconnect both structurally and functionally, often requiring specific alignment parts steps.

(Step 12 from the vintage LEGO Technic 856 Bulldozer — my first lesson in strict alignment constraints!)

Fast forward to designing my MOC, and I stumbled right into the exact same issue.

The Mechanical Challenge:

  • Initial Setup: I originally used two 8-tooth (8T) pinions in a mirrored configuration to drive a huge 140-tooth (140T) ring gear (assembled using eight 11x11 curved gear racks, ID 24121).
  • The Problem: The angular position between the two pinions required an exact match to align with the module of the 140T gear. The gear module didn't align perfectly at the junction points between the gear racks, creating a small "step" that prevented smooth rotation.
  • The Solution: I removed one pinion to eliminate the over-constrained setup. Initially, I tried a single central 8T pinion (great for gear reduction), but ultimately opted for a 12T pinion: thanks to its larger meshing profile, it glides much better over the rack seams.

The New Problem?

Eliminating the second pinion solved the binding, but gave the ring gear full freedom of movement along the pinion’s drive axis!

Has anyone else encountered tolerance or meshing issues when joining curved racks into a continuous ring using Technic Gear Racks 11 x 11? How did you solve it?

(I'm currently documenting the whole iterative development process on my LEGO Ideas project page — I'll drop the link in the comments if you'd like to check out the full clock mechanism or support the build!) 🕒⚙️
