Welcome to the r/AFOL Lego Ideas Megathread!
Since we do not allow direct promotion of Lego Ideas projects in other parts of the subreddit, we decided to create this megathread to give you a place to share your projects.
When posting your projects, please give a description of the project and tell us why it appeals to AFOLs. And don't forget the link!
Though not against the rules for others to share projects, our preference is that the creator of the project to be the one who shares it here. If one of your friends has created a project, invite them to join our community!
If you received a message from AutoModerator pointing you to this thread and you weren't trying to share a Lego Ideas project, please send us modmail so that we can address the error.

Hey everyone,
Like a lot of you, I spend way too much time picking through bulk tubs, trying to rebuild sets like Jay's Storm Fighter or MetalBeard's Duel, only to get stuck halfway through and lose track of what parts I actually still need.
I got frustrated with switching between multiple browser tabs, spreadsheets, and wanted lists just to figure out what was missing across several active builds, so I started building a dedicated tracking app called Rebuilt Collectibles.
I want to be upfront: the app is completely free to use and always will be. I built this because I needed it for my own collection, and I really just wanted to give back to the Lego community by sharing something useful. I don't plan on paywalling any of the core tracking tools.
What it currently does:
Active Build Tracking: Shows exact completion percentages (e.g., 79% complete) broken down by set or component.
Bulk Missing Parts List: Automatically aggregates missing pieces across all your in-progress builds into one place so you know exactly what to look for in your storage bins.
Minifigure & Set Management: Tracks specific minifigures, missing torsos/heads, and total copies owned.
Right now, I’m the main person using it, and I want to make sure it’s actually useful for other AFOLs and bulk rebuilders.
I’d love your honest feedback:
1. How do you currently track missing parts when rebuilding multiple sets at once?
2. What’s the single most annoying part of your current workflow?
3. If you want to check it out, break things, and test it, it's live here: rebuilt-collectibles.vercel.app

I built and filmed this Technic drawing machine for Brick Trials. One motor turns the paper on a small table and drives the crank that sweeps the pen arm. As the two movements combine, the pen traces a spirograph-style flower. There's no programmed pen path.
The video shows the assembly and then the mechanism drawing, so you can follow the motion from the gears to the paper.
For a different pattern, which would you change first: the gear ratio, the crank length or the pen position?

My LEGO version of the 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, built in LEGO Icons/Creator Expert scale.
I wanted to recreate this iconic '80s American coupe, capturing its distinctive body shape and details.
The model features:
Hope you like it!

Here’s my mini scale (about 1/450) Boeing 777 (could also be an airbus a350) it’s about the size of an iPhone. This one has a United Airlines livery

Should it have been its own set, not a fwp?

I wanted to build one of those places that would actually make a frontier town feel lived in — haircuts, hot baths, gossip, an upstairs apartment, and, for the truly desperate, dentistry with no guarantees.
It’s about 2,600 pieces, with removable sections and a lot of little stories tucked throughout.
Very happy with the build overall, and especially with the sand blue facade and the barber pole detail!
Would love to hear any thoughts on this one.

Built on the same chassis platform as my Mini Delivery Truck MOC, but with a whole new look.
For this version, I focused heavily on the front end, giving it a grille and headlight design strongly inspired by the Ford F-150. Combined with the open rear cargo bed, I was aiming for a classic, rugged 'country' truck vibe.
What do you guys think of this design so far?

Putting it flat takes so much space.
The beast is 54 inches long.
I’m convinced this is better than any stand. Looks like a sword from far away too.
How else are you guys displaying this?

This was a tough project but a passion project! I always loved 1930s style biplanes (definitely majorly influenced by Indiana Jones) Along with this Biplane design I wanted to give it a place to land so I built this weathered old hangar. The hangar doors were particularly difficult to engineer how they would open and close wide enough to fit the plane through. Eventually I solved it!
I spent a lot of time working on the plane particularly to make the two cockpits well polished on the inside so there is no yellow peeking through. I found that polishing the interior of an already small vehicle is no simple feat.
Windsock tower detaches to be able to arrange an airfield a little more accurately and roof lifts off to access the inside.
