MOC Updated Stoneguard Castle MOC
Nearly every exterior brick was touched as I did a face lift on the castle I built nearly 5 years ago. My primarily goal was to make it seem bigger and more elegant.

Back in July, I shared my original Hunter’s Cottage MOC, which received a lot of positive feedback. The original design was built in a dollhouse style, with an open back to make the interior accessible.
While many people liked that approach, others felt that a medieval cottage should be a fully enclosed building. So I decided to take on the challenge of creating an alternative version!
Meet Hunter’s Cottage – Modular Version!
You can find the instructions on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-280391/BricktobeWild/hunters-cottage-modular-edition/
The new version has a fully enclosed exterior, with floors connected by stairs. Closing the back also gave me the opportunity to expand the interior and add lots of new details.
Some of the additions include a wild boar trophy inside, inspired by a tutorial from bricks_fan_uy on Instagram, and a tanning rack on the exterior wall based on a design by marinbrickdesign.
The original Hunter’s Cottage was itself inspired by a cottage built by legoznbricks on Instagram, which gave me the initial spark for my own design. I always enjoy seeing how inspiration from other builders can develop into something of my own.
I’m really happy with how this version turned out. It was an interesting challenge to revisit an existing MOC, take the feedback on board, and see how much I could develop the original concept.
I’ve included renders from several angles, including a view showing how the roof can be removed to access the interior. Last two images shows the original dollhouse design.
Building instructions are available on Rebrickable — you can find them by searching for Hunter’s Cottage – Modular Version.
I’d love to hear your thoughts! Which approach do you prefer for medieval buildings: the open-back dollhouse style or a fully enclosed modular building?

For a long time I wanted to achieve war hammer head that had square cross-section and had symmetrical both ends - something that can not be achieved with just a snot bricks. And here is my solution, to me it's groundbreaking, but I am quite sure somebody had already done it before me. Enjoy!

I’ve finally assembled a mostly complete collection of all the Lego bardings. I am not counting the brick built ones (like the Horse Knight Castle) as I am not a huge fan of those. I think there are also some plain ones that come in solid red or black (piece 2490), but those are going for silly money on Bricklink and I am not enough of a completionist to want to pay that much. There are also a couple of Duplo ones, though I haven’t got my hands on those yet either.
Here are the ones I have in my collection:
Vintage Era
Yellow Lions and Blue Dragons from Knight’s Challenge 6060 (Crusaders and Lion Knights era)
Red Dragons from Black Knights Castle 6086
Fright Knights Barding from Traitor Transport 6047
Red Lion Head Barding from Royal Knight’s Castle 6090
Blue Lion Head Barding from Royal Joust 6095
Knights Kingdom II
Vladek’s Scorpion Barding from Vladek Encounter 8777
Lion with Crown Pattern from Castle of Morcia
Fantasy Era
Silver Crown from King’s Castle Siege 7094
Gold Crown from Giant Castle Chess 852293 and Final Joust 7009
Kingdoms
Gold Lions with Gold Chain Mail from King’s Castle 7946
Gold Lions with Silver Plate from Prison Tower Rescue 7947
Black Falcon Fleur de Lis from Kingdoms Joust 10223
Green Dragons from Escape from Dragon's Prison 7187 (probably my favourite and definitely the most expensive and sought after)
2013 Relaunch
Blue Lions from King’s Castle 70404
Red Dragons from The Gatehouse Raid 70402
Modern
Lion Knights from Lion Knights Castle 10305
Black Falcons from LKC 10305
And finally a bit of an oddity from Ninjago, the blue and gold dragon barding from Emperor’s Stronghold 3053, not strictly speaking Castle related, but a neat piece anyways IMO

This is a cult that I created for my own fantasy world. They believe in the holy snowman (as I thought the white looks beautiful!) I tried making the building from sun damaged white parts, but sadly I didn’t have enough to make it fully coloured. What do you guys think?

I loved the gradient roofing stuff I saw in the last round of BDP so I dusted off this old build and started refreshing it. Might take it to Ideas when its done, what do you think? The Medieval Guarded Grocer was originally inspired by the Guarded Inn and Green Grocer and designed to work with the Medieval Blacksmith. I designed it like ~3 years ago.

Just starting on a town gate house for my first ever MOC to be part of my first ever Diorama. In the town at the back on a raised rocky area will be the Lion Knights Castle.
Do people like to plan it all so it comes together perfect. I'm having loads of fun just freestyling it (parts everywhere), but I am finding that you run into problems all the time and start fudging it 😂. Perhaps as I'm new I'm just going to freestyle the whole of this diorama and then future ones I'll learn from mistakes and plan it more and be a bit more ambitious.
I'm thinking of having the Horse Knights as the 'town guards' while the Lion Knights as the ' kings guard'.
As I'm finding out (not been into Lego since I was about 8, now I have a 7 year old of my own 😀), Army building is expensive. Are more people turning to using different factions as allies to beef up their defence of settlements etc? Is this a bit of a no no for some?
I've been collecting used 3in1 Falcon Castle sets and new 3in1 Horse Knight sets in the sales for pieces. Also vinted for bags of grey and brown stuff I find cheap.
Fully fledged AFOL of the Castle variety 😁

For me it should the one from Starwar(Sorry I don’t know anything about Starwar). The monster is High quality and fit to my castle collection. You can put a minifig into his month.

My current version of Robin Hood. I plan on making the Merry men and the sheriff of Nottingham and Guy of Gisborne.

Trying to make a "great hall" style building and wondering how to make a roof that can be moved/removed to have access to the interior of the building. I really want the tiled shingles I have in my images for the aesthetic if at all possible. I want to use contemporary pieces (so not the old school hinge plates from the 90s). I have a start to the roof itself but I'm struggling with how to connect it to the rest of the building. Any suggestions for guides, set references, or videos would be appreciated!

Out on a camping trip and took my bro & I’s knightly sigfigs for a story of adventure!
Ambushed by wolf pack brigands after a hearty breakfast in the woods, only to find Viking raiders later down the trail. Can this trip get any worse!

Maybe like a leader for a clan, maybe the blue one can be the a sly king battle-scarred from previous wars.

Made a group of rocky cultists for my D&D campaign! They're meant to be a group that kind of raids places in town for armor, rather than creating their own, so they're all a bit mismatched.
Let me know what you think!

A few more photos of the Blacksmith - I don't really modify my sets that much yet but I really enjoyed adding some extras flowers and greenery on here :)
