What the title says. I'm beyond exhausted hoping that some of y'all will pull your head out of your asses and live up to the values necessary to be a passable human being. Since this has been a repeated failure, we will move to a zero-tolerance model going forward:
If you have a doubt of whether or not something is going to run a-foul of these zero tolerance boundaries, don't fucking post it. No, I'm not going to rules lawyer technicalities. The time for you taking a nuanced approach is passed. No, I'm not going to accept ignorance as an excuse. It is 2026, go get educated on how to not be a piece of shit.
This is a warning to all users - I don't give a fuck how well you discuss theory, the praxis you claim to have accomplished, none of it. If you are in this community, you will be a decent fucking human being. If you can't step over that incredibly low bar, then I don't want you here so fuck off.
ADDENDUM: As of 9.15 PM Eastern, any further comments defending this content as not being antisemitic will be banned permanently. I've explained repeatedly the rationale behind this and I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt that users can hear a new expectation and engage with it responsibly. If you cannot act like decent people, then this subreddit doesn't need you.
For everyone else who asked clarification and/or generally acted like a human being, thank you.
EDIT: Locking this to catch up on bans.

This has been a long time coming and every opportunity was extended to allow the topic to be allowed on r/leftist, but those opportunities have come to an end. As per the newest addition to the sub's rules:
# 7. Prohibited Content
Prohibited Content includes permanent and/or temporary policies aimed at addressing specific events or issues which may affect the community. Currently, the following items are considered prohibited content:
* Veganism - Permanent: As veganism is not inherently a leftist topic, posts centered on veganism rather than leftism are are banned. Any posts or comments referencing veganism must be in relation to anti-capitalism. Proselytizing about veganism is forbidden.
There has yet to be a single post about veganism on this subreddit that has been rooted in anti-capitalism that has not devolved into an advertisement of veganism. There are many subreddits about veganism, including some from a leftist perspective. Please utilize those subreddits in the future - posts proselytizing for veganism will be marked "off-topic" and removed. Repeated violations will result in actions including suspension and up to permanent ban.
As this has been an issue before, we will be monitoring activity surrounding this topic and any hint of brigading will be reported.

Over at r/NPR, mods are on a power trip censoring any post that criticizes NPR--specifically any coverage that discusses NPR's continued failure to call a genocide a genocide. If you'd like a community that welcomes healthy discussion in the hopes of holding a much beloved news source accountable, join us over at r/NPRPowertothePublic. Mods here won't be censoring posts critical of NPR.

I recently discovered a genre of music called "national socialist black metal". The name is self-explanatory, it's nazis making black metal music.
I don't personally support any censorship in art, but I'd like to get your opinion on this.

So I consider myself a leftist and align myself with every left cause I can think of, but I find myself often frustrated and excluded from left spaces.
One example I was discussing comedians I like and mentioned I enjoy ones who push things to the line so to speak and make occasional jokes about race and sexuality because I find these relatable, for reference these comedians are almost all gay or black yet I had leftists telling me I canāt be left if I laugh at gay jokes ( even though a fuckin gay guy was telling the joke )
It seems to me like most left spaces claim to be for the working class yet are made up of mainly highly educated middle class people who likely havenāt faced many of the difficulties that they aim to ease.
Even in discussions there is so much double speak making topics inaccessible to people like me, and I honestly think the left put to much pride in wordy explanations and telling people they must learn this and that.
In the event of an uprising the 99% that will make it possible for us to have power are excluded, Iām not into the whole masculinity obsession that has swept the world but having grown up in Ireland and having ties to people that were volunteers during the British Invasion one thing is clear.
Any true left power which wants to take power needs strong fearless men who are capable of extreme violence in a higher ratio than great thinkers, both are important but I think more people who will take direct action matters more than people who write manifestos and plans.
Yet most left spaces I enter seem to be full of great thinkers and philosophers yet really lacking people with the strength and will to take action and the same people who would be willing to do so often feel alienated by some middle class white phd student.
Does this make sense to you guys or am I just waffling ?

In an interview with The New Yorker, Democratic Socialists of America national co-chair Megan Romer stated that DSA supported a free Palestine, meaning the establishment of a single state.
DSA's position is consistent, not only with the historical Palestinian vision for liberation, but also with its own democratic platform and with basic human decency.
The One Democratic State Initiative welcomes this decision and calls on all democratic organizations worldwide to also support the establishment of a democratic state instead of a settler one in Palestine.

One of the biggest arguments I keep hearing is that āDemocratic socialistsā who are going to vote for Dems come midterms are just ācapitalist enablers which will take away from any progress towards socialismā
but my question is what revolution is going to happen if leftists arent trying to join or even possibly take over the democrats?
Americans mostly vote on single issues that are common to them (e.g. Christian men vote Republican b/c of reactionary policies). Shouldnāt leftists be focused on using that as a means to create the conditions necessary for a revolution?
I know it sounds silly and its asked a lot but I want to discuss it myself so I understand where people are coming from
EDIT: for clarification/context I am not voting 3rd party

The One Democratic State Initiative is a Palestinian political organization working to revive the historical Palestinian vision for liberation āa single Palestinian state, for all of its citizensā and to mobilize individuals, entities and political parties, in Palestine and abroad, behind it.
Hasnieh Al-Natsheh and Alain Alameddine, two of its coordinators, are ready to answer your questions up until midnight, Occupied Palestine time. They'll make sure to answer any remaining questions tomorrow. Check out our website and ask away!
