Am I cooked? 🍳 Is it over for me?

I’m basically failing all my classes and they’re meant to be easy ones too, like business, economics but now don’t even get me started on English and Maths. Maybe it’s that I don’t know how to study? Or I don’t do it properly or a severe lack of consistency but even then I’ve tried so hard lately and was actually locked in, I studied so hard and was expecting at least a H2 but nope there was none of that and I think since I tried so hard and got nothing out of it I was really disappointed and ended up being lazy and neglecting everything the past week.

To top it off we’ve the projects as well and I basically haven’t started but I’ve 4 whole projects to do due to my subject choices. The courses I wanted are at 600 but now I’d even be lucky to get 300 even.

I’m so disappointed in myself, I thought if I tried hard enough and put in the work, it would’ve been okay but everything I had in mind was just unrealistic and I’m never going to amount to what I wanted.

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore, should I really just accept defeat and that I’m dumb?

English 📖 comparative cooking me

I am currently doing my first 70 mark question for the comparative, safe to say its not going well. My three texts are, Small Things like These, Macbeth and the Shawshank Redemption

I am finding this very frustrating as I do really well in Paper 1 with usually getting H1s or H2s but I am really struggling with this. I find the analysing quite difficult, which is especially frustrating as I would be quite vocal in class when talking about the three texts but with the actual essay I have no idea what to say or how to phrase what I want to say.

I want to study English in the future and become an English teacher but now I am questioning if that is the right path for me. Especially since studying English is very analytical and Paper 2 focused. I am thinking maybe its a lack of critical thinking, but I am unsure.

Any tips or advice?

Geography 🗺 I'm highly confused with the long questions

Guys I'm so confused all the answers you'd get from study clix or ai are like way too long and they repeat information and its not clear which statements are srps or not.

Specifically I'm trying to find an answer to constructive plate booundaries bc I don't have much info in my book about them. I'm so confused

Maths 🧮 HPAT-Free Webinar

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey guys I’m a final year medical student who would like to do a FREE 90 minute webinar on HPAT prep.

I’d like to cover each section with tips and tricks on how to boost your percentile across all 3 and overall too!

Most likely I’d like to host it during the midterm so probably toward the end of that week (Thursday or Friday)

If you would be interested, just send me a dm and I’ll send you the link once everything is set up!

Again this is FREE. I know how daunting sitting the HPAT is so ideally I’d like to help out if I can

Here are some notes also based on Section 2: understanding people, specifically the cartoon questions!

Chemistry ⚗️ chemistry aac opinions

For my chemistry aac i’m investigating how surface area affects rate of reaction by dissolving paracetamol tablets in HCl. I’m just worried that it’s too close to the marble chips experiment. Is anyone doing anything similar?

Repeating ↩️ want medicine as an external candidate don't know what to do.

hi all,

need chem and bio for minimum entry requirements into medicine next year. the issue is that no host school is letting me do the AACs, only the written exams. im too far from any plc repeat programmes too.

technically, i could take up ag. science and phys-chem and get the minimum grades, (where i'd only do the written for ag science and forefeit the project). this could get me into tcd and ucd, tho it would limit my options, such as for rcsi's 5 year programme. idk, should i just go with this? i also could just sit the written exam for bio and pray for 60/60% and try for a h4 without the AAC. tried to contact the sec but no response. kinda confused would appreciate any advice from who has knowledge abt this topic.

these are the subjects i do, (or could do if needed):

  • maths
  • eng
  • irish
  • spanish
  • arabic
  • biology?
  • ag science?
  • chem?
  • phys-chem?

5th year 👶👶 Anyone using studytok?

Been using StudyTok a bit for studying for the LC and it’s actually pretty handy. It has past exam papers built into the app for different subjects, so you can practise questions without having to keep looking for papers online. Has a few other useful features for revision too. I found a code literally is just the name gary that apparently gives you 7 days free and then a discount off StudyTok Pro, if anyone wants to try it out.

Thought I’d share in case it helps anyone else 👍
