Has science gone too far?

Post image

Just trying out some things, don't get too excited.. yet.

edit: Well.. I have a perfectly fine working mount.

edit2: Should a mount be a combat pet and follow you around when unmounted? Or should it just disappear and appear like in most games?

edit3: a quick video of testing https://youtu.be/lKQ5fkdjbWA

Oooooh I want this to be real and installable so bad. Practical value? Probably not much. Vibes? Priceless.

I know, it's basically pointless

As someone who never likes to fast travel in the beautiful world of Amalur, I would beg to differ. Mounts would be a dream come true for me specifically. But I admit for most players the practical value is not super high, which is partially because Amalur's maps wasn't built with mounts in mind.

If you do end up making it a combat wolf too though, that's a whole different story in regards to utility. Either way I love everything about this and will wish for your success. :D

What an Amalur MMO would have been like in the other timeline

I would suggest making the speed match the running speed with the ring from the Developer Room. I think it was called the Ring of Ludicous Speed?

If you make the mount a combat pet, I'd also suggest giving it it's own skill tree system, armor and make it killable.

I don't think you understand the amount of work you're asking.
