Question Modding help

May anyone help/guide me on how to mod this game for the life of me i cant figure it out.

For reference all im trying to install is the framework one and the f2 console one so i can fix a broken quest without reloading a save. (reloading the save would make me lose 8 hours)

i saw online i need to use a .exe folder but the only .exe i see is the koa.exe and whenever i click on that it opes the game.

i followed a guide on nexus by creating a new mod folder and put both mods in there but they arent working

Where you are in your screenshot. When you extract the framework from the archive a folder is automatically created. Its called either mod or mods.

Then you place all mods there and extract them. Possibly removing their folder structure by simply dragging the contents out to be in the mods folder as they might have created an extra mod folder when they archived/uploaded it.

The f2 mod might not need to be in the mod folder and to be on the main folder you have screenshotted. So highlight the f2 mod files which you have in the mods folder and copy paste from mods to the main folder to try that. it probably wont matter that its in both locations.

So

  1. Extract framework on the mainfolder you have screenshotted
  2. Put other mods in the mod folder- possibly with folder structure attention.
  3. Put the f2 mod in the main folder you have screenshotted. You can simply copy paste them and it should be fine.

You do need the framework but apparently this one just goes in a different location (main screenshotted) where most mods go in the mod folder.

Beyond your game version/compatibility with the mods (could be too old or too new). I don't know what to tell you.

Your save file is something you can find. There is always the option of trying another game version you could pick up online and hoping for mod compatibility with that. I've had to do that before for mod purposes. (other games)

So what if you lose 8 hours? Aren't games meant to waste time?

yes they are but i rather not have to redo 8 hours of work when i already have very little time to play games.
