Praise [KCD1] Wish I could convince Henry to just stay in Pribyslavitz
Just finished building Pribyslavitz all the way out, and about to jump back into the main story. However, I really wish I could sit him down and get him to look past his quest for the sword and settle down with what he has. The Bailiff of a burgeoning town, neighboring his hometown, a relationship with Theresa, would live near his child 👀, and a solid chance at a peaceful life. I just know his father would sit him down to not go down the path to revenge.
I know its a game, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of my time in KCD1 and then going into KCD2. Its become one of my favorites and I can't put it down, my heart just breaks a bit thinking about the suffering this young man is signing him self up for. Its my first playthrough, so I don't know if it goes south for him, just loving how peaceful Pribyslavitz has been.

Praise Y'all I had no idea how good [KCD2] was. Wow. It's a masterpiece.
I haven't played the first one. Now I know I need to. I still haven't finished the 2nd one, but I'd argue it's the "best" game I've played. Ever.
The story and the acting / directing: Wow. I've never played a game where the acting (animations etc) and voice acting is so good. Not even CLOSE. The acting / directing, and voice acting puts many AAA movies to SHAME! This is like playing game of thrones or something but realistic and with good actors.
I am blown away y'all. This game is VERY underhyped overall imho. What an absolute masterpiece.

Discussion [KCD2] Longbows are ruining swords for me
Ever since reaching a reasonably high level in Marksmanship, Longbows are the only weapon I use. It's so damn effective. Doesn't even matter which bow you use, whichever one of the 200+ dmg ones you prefer. It seems marksmanship level and arrow type matters more than the bows base damage when it comes to total damage. They all get the job done so much quicker than any melee weapon, even without adding poison to the arrows.
Anyone else feel this way?

Fashion [KCD2] Longsword of the Four Evangelists is a thing of beauty! We NEED more polished and detailed blacksmithing in the next installment please Warhorse!
-Ferrum ferro acuitur, et homo exacuit faciem amici sui
-Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another
Description: "A beautiful long sword with engravings of the four evangelists - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. According to tradition, each has a supernatural attribute. Matthew is depicted as an angel, Mark as a winged lion, Luke as a winged bull and John as an eagle."
Absolutely love this sword! The inscriptions, the engravings, and even the scabbard itself are beautiful. I just wish we could forge other ornamental swords like this one.
My dream for the next Kingdom Come game is to be able to forge our own custom swords, creating engravings and inscriptions to our hearts' content. Not only that, but being able to craft and customize scabbards would be incredibly fun as well. I can see myself sinking hundreds of hours into this alone.

Discussion [KCD2] Knowing the irl fates of the characters from the codex makes interacting with them in game eerie...
Like for Lichtenstein after THAT quest, he loses everything & gets imprisoned. And after everything he did for Wenceslas...
Hynek FINALLY gets imprisoned by Wenceaslas personally & dies a year later lmao, im glad, fuck that guy!
And in contrast to this, Zizka actually gets pardoned by Wenceaslas! I wouldve loved to know what his reaction would be to that
And of course, the eventual fate of Henry's father, Sir Radzig...pretty brutal...

Media St. George’s sword is the best looking in the game. [KCD2] Wish there were scabbard options though.

Media "That's a good one!" 📸 [KCD2]
I’ve basically beaten the game, completing almost every quest and playing with all the DLCs, and I only discovered photo mode halfway through my playthrough, so I wanted to share some of my best shots.
I especially wanna tell the story behind the first pic in the post, because it looks like I set it up on purpose lmao. After killing Sir Markvart von Aulitz, I accidentally whistled, and suddenly one enemy after another started coming at me because the first guy managed to blow his horn and call in the rest of them.
I thought I was dead from minute one, but I refused to give up. I decided to chug my max-level potions (Artemisia, Painkiller, and Aqua Vitalis) and hold them off at the doorway, taking them on one by one. Whenever they managed to get inside, I made sure they couldn’t get behind me. I genuinely felt like John Wick, pushing multiple guys back with my sword and scaring the shit out of them with my one-handed hand cannon lmao.
I kept backing up behind the chimney to maintain some distance until they started dropping one by one. Eventually, I retreated to the kitchen to keep my distance from the last few enemies, and somehow came out victorious.
Definitely one of the most epic moments of my entire playthrough. Straight-up action movie shit that only exists in my head.
P.S. The pics aren't in chronological order; they're just in random order! All of them have also been retouched and edited in Photoshop.

Praise [OTHER] @LukeDaleLive - My Tavern is Open! | Intro to "Nobleman"
A nice (promo) video from the man himself.
Love the decor and all the little touches and nice to see him give shout outs to everyone who's worked on it with him. Also cool that he has tried to build it for locals as much, if not more, than tourists and KCD fans.
The best of luck to him with it.

Discussion I’m in awe of this game. [KCD2]
Beyond the incredible voice acting, writing, set pieces, combat, progression, immersion, and graphics, there’s something about KCD2’s level design, especially its forests, that they absolutely nailed.
I remember playing Far Cry 2 as a kid and being in awe of how intimidating and cumbersome its forests felt. No game has managed to recreate that feeling for me until KCD2.
I’ll be doing some random side quest that takes me into the woods, and the time of day will be just right, with sunlight piercing through the trees, dense bushes forcing me to beat around them (lol), and vegetation I can actually use as cover. It just pulls your right in.
I know some people might not understand the comparison, but KCD2 genuinely feels like a feature complete medieval Far Cry 2 to me, with all the immersive sim and RPG mechanics I always wished that game had.
That’s probably the biggest compliment I could give it. It just feels right.

KCD IRL [KCD1][KCD2] Planning a trip in Czechia, what should I visit?
Big fan of KCD1 and Im planning a trip in Czechia for next summer, what should I visit? I know Rattay had some kind of museum at one point, and that some building still look the same. Haven't yet played KCD2, but I still have time.
I also really like the castles of the region, and moreso HRE castles over french or english ones. Are there good castles to visit even though they are not in the games ?
It's a trip with my grandpa, so I don't control exactly where we go, but I want to make suggestions. I know we stay in Prague, so maybe things around it. We have to stay in other places too, so maybe I'll be closer to KCD locations.
So, what should I see?

Rant [KCD2] Why give the House of Leipa item after game completion
Minor gripe, but I don't really understand the point of giving out the Lords of Leipa items only after completing the game, especially when the game doesn't have New Game+ and I don't believe there are known item codes for these to add either (as far as I know).
I understand that some people are happy/willing to just wander or live in the world after the end, especially with the Legacy of the Forge DLC's repeatable quests, but I imagine that most people tend to play the game over and over again. If so, the armour and caparison don't serve a meaningful purpose apart from trying it on for all of 5 minutes.
While I don't mind that they're a reward for completing the game, it would be nice to have them carry over to future save files that can be found in your chest like the DLC and other reward items just so I can have time to enjoy wearing them in other playthroughs!
