FanFics I NEED Help, I need cleansing

Post image

I have now read wayyyy to many Kataang angst pics and need to remind my self that No Katara isn't a woman controlled by her hormones, No its shouldn't be that easy for aang to abandon his pacifist believes because Katara broke his heart, no Katara wouldn't never cheat on aang with Zuko she is far to good of a person to do that and last but not least Aang isn't some punk ass b*tch with no spine he will not go running back to Katara like some love sick puppy with no self respect

I need pics that are:

In character

Remind me that Aang and Katara are in love and are soul mates just some wholesome, kataang fluff and I'm okay with angst just not cheating or Katara likes Zuko but actually likes aang but she doesn't no it yet, I've read way to many of them, most by The Last soulbender and Zuko was very off character.

I would also prefer longer fics like "More Than friends".

Also, nobody recommend that fic "when it's all over", I like it for the first half, wasn't thrilled about the unnecessary Zutara drama, it shot it down alot for me with that

But yes pls recommend me Fics, GIVE ME KATAANG

lovey-dovey The 3 reasons I love Katara and Aang's dance in the Headband

3 reasons why Katara and Aang’s dance in “The Headband” is one of their most beautiful moments!!!

1. Their chemistry and the way they bring out the best in each other.
What makes this scene so beautiful isn’t just the romantic tension, but how naturally they complement each other. Aang encourages Katara to let loose, have fun and step outside her comfort zone, while Katara trusts him enough to follow his lead. They’re not fighting a war, carrying the weight of their responsibilities or worrying about saving the world. For a brief moment, they’re just two kids enjoying themselves, and you can genuinely see how happy they make each other.

2. Bringing joy and freedom to the children of the Fire Nation.
I love that their dance isn’t just about them. Aang and Katara inspire an entire room of Fire Nation teenagers to express themselves and have fun in a society where even dancing is discouraged. These kids have grown up under strict rules and propaganda, yet Aang doesn’t treat them as enemies. Instead, he gives them an opportunity to experience something their own society has denied them. It’s such a beautiful reflection of Aang’s character and his belief that the people of the Fire Nation are not inherently bad.

3. The beautiful symbolism of Aang and Katara expressing themselves in the heart of the Fire Nation.
This is probably my favorite aspect of the entire scene. If you pay attention to their movements, you can recognize elements of Katara’s Waterbending techniques and Aang’s Airbending movements incorporated into their dance.
And I think there’s something incredibly powerful about that. Here are two survivors whose cultures and families have suffered immensely because of the Fire Nation. Aang lost his entire people to genocide, while Katara lost her mother and grew up witnessing the devastating effects of the war on the Southern Water Tribe.
Yet here they are, in the middle of the Fire Nation, freely expressing elements of their respective cultures through something as joyful and innocent as dancing. The very cultures the Fire Nation tried to suppress and destroy are now bringing happiness to its own children.
And that’s what makes this sceney so special to me. It’s romantic, playful and full of life.
All of that conveyed through one beautiful dance. 🥹

Recently I've been rewatching avatar the last airbender and gahh IT FEELS JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME. I love these goobers so much, and seeing how Aang and Katara interact warms my heart so much 😭.

I still want to include a cute water bending effect, so this is just a simple colored wip for now! Hopefully I'll be able to finish this soon.

What are your thoughts on some of the side quests you’d like to see kataang undergo outside the movie? Any type of adventures in particular? Romantic gateways? What kind?

Really just wanted to hear some of the sub’s favorite adventure headcanons revolving aang and katara

Discussion The way some people speak about Aang… you might think he was the villain…

Post image

It’s honestly so devastating to see the way some people talk about him.

A few hours ago, I saw someone say that he deserved to die, and I genuinely don’t understand how you can watch a story about a child having to come to terms with the fact that his entire nation was genocided, that he is the last of his people, that he blamed himself for surviving, and that he was then given the responsibility of saving the entire world, and somehow have more anger toward him than toward the people who actually terrorized that world.

He’s obviously flawed, and people are free to dislike him, but the sheer level of hatred some people have for this child is genuinely astonishing.
How does a fictional show evoke that much hostility and hatred in someone?

Sorry for bringing some negativity here. I just didn’t really know where else to let this out, and this felt like the safest place to do it.

How can you hate this bundle of joy

Question Guys, are the Graphic Novels worth reading?

I just finished ATLA for the second time, read The Promise, and I’m currently reading The Search.

I’m specifically interested in how Kataang develops now that they’re officially together. Do you guys find the way their relationship is portrayed satisfying?

FanFics [Fic Promo] Not a fanart of Kataang but still a story of Kataang

Cr Artwork: Commissioned Piece by @/vee_studious

Soo… Aang has spent years saving the world, rebuilding nations, and trying to figure out what the future is supposed to look like.

And now he has encountered his greatest challenge yet:

How the hell do you propose to Katara? 😂

In the newest chapter of Kindred, Aang finally starts seriously thinking about marriage and realizes he doesn’t want some grand gesture just because he’s the Avatar. He wants to do something that actually means something to Katara.

So naturally, he goes looking for help 👀

This chapter is also about Aang learning to separate being the Avatar from simply being Aang—especially when it comes to the person he loves. And honestly, I really wanted this part of his journey to feel less like “the Avatar is getting married” and more like a young man trying to figure out how to ask the woman he loves to spend the rest of her life with him.

Also… this man can literally bend all four elements, but apparently proposing to Katara is where he suddenly loses all his confidence.

This is probably by favorite edit I have made, I think it turned out good. Only problems I have is I feel I ended the song a bit to abruptly and the text is a bit off sync with the words. Hope you enjoy. Credit: Song The night begins to shine by B.E.R, Appa clip by @Gentle_Motion21 on YouTube.

i see a lot of people say that the aang movie explains the kind of parent aang will be in the long run, but does it really?

by the end of the movie, he forgives himself for running away all those years and learns to heal from his past. the conclusion that he arrives is that air nomad values are far important than airbending itself. we see him teach air nomad values to non-airbenders and take the gaang on his next expedition to preserve air nomad culture, finding the breed of air bison. this is a stark contrast to how he was presented at the beginning of the film, trying to preserve his heritage all by himself.

these do not sound like the words of a man who is shrouded by his guilt, desperate to keep the airbenders alive. these do not sound like a man who expects his wife to give him airbending children any time soon. he tells avatar sonam that he doesn’t know IF airbending will ever return. not when. IF.

the type of character that the aang movie presents by the end of the film is an aang who is content with everything that he has, who has forgiven himself for his past mistakes, who is excited to teach his culture to others.

… only for him to make the same mistakes and later again be blinded by that desperation when tenzin is born? i don’t personally buy it.

if aang is willing to teach his culture to air acolytes, including someone that literally tried to kill him, why would he not want to teach it to his own children? why would bumi and kya feel alienated from his culture just because they weren’t born as airbenders? why does it take bumi to getting airbending to feel like he’s finally part of the air nation, even though he’s literally half air nomad himself? why are members from the denied accepted into their culture sooner than the son of avatar aang?

all throughout the movie, there’s a clear avoidance to link airbending to katara and aang’s future children, so much so that aang and katara never discuss it. it’s never presented as an option for aang. it’s never something that sonam or tagah ever bring up. it’s never something that aang says to avatar sonam by the end of the film. it’s not to avoid this discussion for the PG distinction, because a simple “maybe my future children will be airbenders” can easily be accepted. obviously, we know now that the film directors and the creators have avoided this topic altogether to never imply that a family can solve aang’s problem. but even if lauren and bryan had never come out outright to say this, it’s pretty much inferred from the film that aang is not willing to view katara as some sort of babymaker. he takes the full responsibility and burden of the air nomad genocide onto his own hands, not hers.

people might argue about the storm and say that it proves that aang is willing to push past katara and his friends’ boundaries and endanger their lives because the ends justify the means. and sure, that might’ve worked - if the movie ended right there. but it didn’t. instead, it’s treated as part of a greater narrative arc where aang learns a tough lesson that he can’t blind himself to just the needs of the air nomads, because it’s antithetical to their existence. only for him to repeat that same mistake again in the future when he becomes a father of multiple children.

i wanted this movie to shed more light on the type of parent aang will become in TLOK. but instead, it leaves me further convinced. what is everyone’s thoughts?
