Hi everyone! I recently got the iPhone 18 Pro Max IOS 27.0.1, and I’ve been having issues with the camera not focusing properly while recording videos.
For example, let’s say I’m recording a video of some scenery, and then I decide to get a close-up shot of flowers or another small object. When I physically move my phone closer to the subject, the camera doesn’t automatically refocus. Instead, everything becomes extremely blurry, and it stays that way.
I’m recording in 4K at 30 fps, and I was under the impression that the camera should automatically adjust its focus as I move closer to objects.
It’s especially frustrating because I want to be able to transition from wide shots to close-ups smoothly without having to manually tap the screen to refocus every time.
I’m not sure if this is caused by my camera settings, a software issue, or an actual problem with my iPhone’s camera.
Has anyone else experienced this with the iPhone 18 Pro Max? Is there a specific setting I should enable or disable to fix this?
Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
