Congratulations! I'm upgrading for 14pro max as well and excited for it to arrive today. I wanted the same color as yours but it was hella back ordered so I went with black cause I am impatient. Can't wait to stop using lightning cable

It’s definitely not as good as previous generations. And no I don’t have screen protectors or anything blocking it.

I went from the 16 Pro to the 18 pro and it’s insane. Yeah its only two gens apart but having two more 48 megapixel cameras (all three are 48 mp now), one of which has a real aperture ting, is what really sold me. Also updated optical zoom (the max zoom before resolution loss) on the 16 pro was x5, on the 18 Pro it is 8x and works great. .5x is equivalent to ~13mm (super wide) and 8x is equivalent to a 200mm lens so that is a massive and very useable range. It’s not going to be as scratch-resistant as the titanium 16 pro so get a silver one or order a case early (i scratched mine waiting for a case). The upside to aluminum though is it gets significantly less hot while doing the same difficult tasks. Alsooo something superr cool is 50 percent more RAM (8 to 12, and RAM is like workspace got a computer for those who dont know what RAM is). I would say the phones feel the same lightness and the extra half mm of thickness or whatever it was isn’t noticeable. Brightness is 50 percent better. In fact I’m writing this in a ray of sunlight right now and i don’t think i would be able to see the screen on an older iPhone.
