In several dialects of English the usage βbe gettingβ is grammatically valid. Itβs called the habitual be tense and is useful for distinguishing an event that is currently happening as opposed to an event or behavior that is repeated to the point that it defines a habit or an aspect of the subject. The habitual be tense is present in AAVE and Several Caribbean dialects as well as a few local dialects in Ireland and Britain.
In most English dialects get is correct and be getting is incorrect however the habitual be tense would sound more correct to speakers of a dialect where it is common because it is a statement about aspects not just events.
